A-Dubb I've had my Ri1000 for about a year now and am now trying to use the Colorgate Software because I really couldn't find any tutorials when I purchased my machine. I've been using the Ana Rip software from the beginning. I appreciate what you're doing on this channel. It has been very helpful.
Big Brother thanks sooo much for this video because now I can start printing shirts now. I was stuck at that particular point and could not figure it out.
Sounds like you might not have your path set correctly. Have to correct that so when it processes it knows where to put the file. Save it on a folder on your desktop then transfer it to the machine with a flash drive.
Did they charge you for the Colorgate software or did you have the documentation need to register it for the software, much like you got a great deal on a Ri 1000 with no paper work.
After selecting my picture on the first page of your edit window, My Type: Production is not lit up. It is blacked out. This is my first time hooking my printer up and I'm lost.
I just got mine and completed my training but I’m struggling with a few details. When using a transparent png file in my colorgate program to print on a sport grey shirt if It’s putting a background with it on the white garment settings there is not a “use product background” options for white settings. Do I use black or white garment settings for grey? 🤦🏻♀️
Great video! Hey I’m following all the steps. I’m using a png file, when I select black garment I get the yellow exclamation mark and it says Print mode modified! Then it won’t preview my image. I don’t understand I have o messed with any advanced settings.
Hello sir great information I have a ricoh 1000 printer and I'm having issues printing good quality on white shirts I have tried saving as png and tiff and the picture looks blurry and thr colors are not right yet when I do it on a black shirt I have no issues any advice you can provide I appreciate it
I wish I would have saw your video before I purchased my Ri1000 DTG. Received printer 4/1/22. I purchased a Display printer with a warranty to save $1000 off the price. I was excited when the printer arrived. Upon unboxing the printer I found I was missing the printer cable, Ethernet Cord, and Pre-treated T-shirts. Pre-treatment for color shirts. Cleaning Maintenance kit, grease, cleaning cartridges. I called Ricoma several times and finally received printer cable but no ethernet cord. I'm really upset. The printer has been sitting idle for 2 weeks. The instructions state not to turn the printer on until I receive training. No one has called me for training but I was told someone would be calling me. The instructions also state that the printer should not be off for a long period of time. All I see is my investment going down the drain and I have not had an opportunity to use it. I really need to get this printer up and running as I was told Ricoma does not offer refunds because I am ready to retain a lawyer and return the printer. Do you have any advice? Thank you.
I would advise you to call Ricoma and also reach out to them via email so you have something in writing showing that you are attempting to resolve the issue. Leave messages when you call. Did you sign into your customer portal and sign up for training? I’m not sure but I think that is how the process goes. I could be wrong. They are normally good at responding fairly fast. I don’t topically have issues. Also try reaching out to your representative that sold you your machine. They should be willing to help you.
Im sure u dont use it. But im just starting out with the se600. Do u have any advice on find the thread on new bobbins. The ones that go on top. I got frustrsted and cut it to find a thread and its ruined i think.
They should have gave you their colorgate license. No worries. You are gonna have to use anarip. Go on ricoh’s website look up the ri1000 and download anarip. Use that. It’s free. Colorgate is not free.
Hi! we are new to DTG. We just bought Ri2000 and having so much problem with my prints. I printed a slogan in orange color text on a black garment, but it turned out with white ink bleeds outside the text. Tried the default setting, -2 and -6 on choke, use document transparency, but the result still the same. Do you have any idea how to fix it? Any suggestions? I am very desperate for help. Thanks in advance.
I have the 1000 not the new one i have never used the choke feature. I would start from your file and work my way back. What type of file is it? where was it created? it should be a vector file. ,png .svg or even .pdf. Make sure that’s clean first. Then make sure your heads are clean and you are getting clean nozzle checks. No line breaks etc. no hazy lines. If your lines are hazy you are printing with the olaten to far away from the head. You want it close as possible without touching. That might be your issue. All else fails contact Ricoma. They will help you.
This is caused by a few different things. Too much pre treat, speed too fast so the white doesn’t have enough time to properly gel and DPI being incorrect.
Hey man. Much appreciated. Can you help me with something. I am printing bright red and it's coming out dull Orange. And I print pure white and it comes out dull and weak not as strong and bright as I'd hope. Both on black shirts. Why does it appear like that and how do I fix?
bro A-Dubb got a question, so when I go to the color tab and try to use the drop-down menu to select either black or white garment nothing pops up so do you know why this is happening.
It sounds like you might not have your mim package installed. The mim is the programming that tells the dtg what to do based on the color garment. Gotta download and install the mim. Contact colorgate and they will send you instructions. I believe instructions might also be on the website but the site is difficult to navigate. I am pretty sure that is what it is though.
Hi, you showed us the movement of the file until it reached back down to the bottom of the screen. While you did show to copy it onto a drive to insert in the print, you did not mention if you have a direct connection ot the printer. What should I do in this situation? Thanks in advance. And I loved your video, by the way, especially the financials part.
No worries, this was not a how to print video. This video was how to use colorgate. I have over 20 videos showing how to print. Here’s one ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-L4npF2Stc0g.html
Need help please…. I am printing black letters on a grey shirt its not laying down white under the black so its very muted, i need to get it to print white under the black on the design as well can anyone help me figure this out? I have a 350 piece order with design and im at a standstill
Follow the instructions that came with your machine. The colorgate website is very difficult to navigate. Ricoma has videos in your customer portal. Log in and check them out.
