Now through the end of October 2019 we have launched a TeeSpring campaign to raise funds for equipment for the channel, but to also give back to the community. Our goal is $6,000.00 with $3,000.00 being split between two animal rescues here in OKC. Rabbit Rescue OKC and All Paws Rescue. Help out so that we can provide them with the donations to aid their needs for food, toys, bedding, and all other needs for the foster animals while they look for a home. Visit the TeeSpring store:
teespring.com/stores/rabid-he...
and if you need gear anything bought from American Legend Rider through my link will also be added to the total and can be found here:
americanlegendrider.com/?rfsn...
Also for each $500.00 we go over you win as well. We will be giving away a new GoPro Black edition of whatever the top tier is at the end of the campaign, so 7 or 8. And more than one can win. If you purchase from any of the channels above please keep the receipt because we will ask for proof, go like our Facebook page, and comment "I'm In," and we will select a random winner. Must be a US resident.

This was great to watch. Your laughing and hooting when you crack the throttle and get the revs up is what I do when I ride mine! The Griso is the most fun of all the bikes I’ve had (which include some crazy fast sport bikes) and you captured that feeling perfectly in this video. Thank you!

Mate I was with you all the way on this ride , esp when you wound her open and she started pulling like a train and you couldn't get your breath for laughing so much! I felt like I was riding pillion at that moment. Brilliant. Thank you! And isn't that what motorcycling is all about - discovering an engine note that gets your heart pumping, to ride a machine that puts a huge grin on your face when you twist that throttle - that seems to anticipate your next move and is almost going there before you ask it to - to feel like it has real genuine character and soul - and yet is happy to pootle around at 20mph if asked to. It's a special bike that can do all that and the Moto Guzzi Griso is one of those rare things on two wheels - a bike you can bond with. I really wish you could have put it through its paces through some twisties because you would have discovered yet another side to its personality - a bike that can really really look after itself through the bends. You would have been laughing into your helmet all the way home 😃 So glad you discovered it! The Moto Guzzi Griso truly is a bit special as a motor cycle.

Had one located at a Honda dealership a bit south of Seattle but then came upon a 2003 California Stone $2,200 cheaper. Both were under 6,000 miles. Bought the Stone north of Seattle and rode it home to the bottom of the state. Best handling, by FAR best sound thru LaFranconi pipes of any bike i ever owned. Plenty of power, though less than the Griso with 2 valve 1100 1064 actual. Rated at 74hp with a long legged 5 speed it feels very natural to row between gears below 60. To the best effect of those great pipes. At 68 i can't ride long with weight on my fore arms. No regrets, simpler than the better equipped Griso but for me simple is good. Freakin' LOVE Moto Guzzi! Boy! That is some beat down road way. Best suited to an enduro by the looks of it.

You're a funny guy to listen to. Too bad you don't have the roads around OKC to really enjoy this bike. I may have mentioned before that I led demo rides for Piaggio during the '16 and '17 Sturgis Rally. We used Vanocker Canyon for our demos. Now THAT's a road that you can appreciate the Griso (and most other Guzzis).

Excellent! I wish I could own it but funds a bit low at the moment but who knows what the future holds. Hopefully they have a short hiatus and come back to us quickly. As for the exhaust reminds me of changing a HD Night Rod. Certain engines are tuned so much to certain back pressure and such that any change cannot be worked out through Dyno and mapping. But sometimes it's fine. Love the way this machine gets going. Ride it safe sir!

Yes it'll do well in that role. It's a great machine that only shows its character when spanked. I love the old tractors actually very much and have had respect for them for years. I've got an 03 Cali Stone but if the Griso fits ergonomically go for it! You won't be bored with it. If not comfy you could do a lot worse than a California, Stelvio, Norge, or any of their big block line. Nothing like a Moto Guzzi! The only bike that routinely goes literally hundreds of thousands of miles between major rebuilds and the most simple and automotive type engineering in the motorcycle industry. Longest lasting, simplest to rebuild.

I’m waiting for someone to tell me what it’s like to ride after an hour. Is the vibration numbing your hands and feet? Do you get tired of bouncing up and down from suspension?
@RabidHedgehog
@RabidHedgehog 5 лет назад
Nope. On this day I actually had this machine out for over an hour and then made this video on top of that, and unedited it was another 48 or so minutes. This bike did not make my hands numb and did not bother the feet. The legs did need a smidge of a stretch here and there but easy to do. The hips were great as there was ample room and cushion in the seating and rider's triangle. The suspension did not really bother me but I had a Sporty as my first bike so there was that plus the Rebel has also trained my rear to handle the longer distances. Overall this thing is great from full to empty and take a stretch after your fill up.

Calling a Guzzi light proves your benchmark must have been typical Milwauki scrap untill now.

Well... not completely wrong. But this is a 1200 that weighs 489lbs vs 560 of the HDs and that is in line with the BMW RNineT as well that is only a pound lighter with similar displacement and only about 20 lbs more than competing Japanese naked bikes. Heck my wife's Vulcan S 650 is 491 lbs. So It is actually kind of light.

@@RabidHedgehog Yeah, compared to those it is quite light but from a European standpoint it is quite heavy still. As are Beemers. It is however also very important how the weight is ditributed and in that respect few people complain about a Guzzi once it is rolling. :-) If you ever get the chance try out the new V85 TT. It's generating quite a few rave reviews.

@@marcbrasse747 A reasonable amount of weight i'm fine with as i feel a bit more planted in the wind out on the interstate. BTW, what Harley is 560#? A Sportster ? Seems like 700#+ is more like it for the big Harleys.

Would you rather have it or your cb1100?

If I could have both I would want them both. Both are on equal footing with me as favorites because the Griso is exciting, unique, potent, and brutally fun. The CB is the pinnacle of smooth, sophisticated, balance, and comfort. To be honest I'm still in the phase of brutally fun most of the time... Meaning that if the Griso was available to me before the CB would have been it would have been it. We had no dealer with a Griso and I got that CB in crate with 0 miles on the clock for only 7599.00.... I could not complain as it's also half the price of the Griso at that point... But if there would have been one those Grisos in front of me at that time of changing out the Night Rod....this comment would not be on this channel.

@@RabidHedgehog I bet that moto guzzi is awesome, if I ever get a chance to ride one I'm definitely going to. I have to say I love my cb1100 more than most bikes... and I like a lot of bikes. Thanks for the response 👍

This bike does not belong to any straight roads. Use it on a curly road! I have the same bike, only the red one. I have 30000km on the clock. But this one is made for curly road!!
