Quick ride and review of the new Scorpion EXO Covert FX helmet. #harleydavidson #streetglide #scorpion www.scorpionusa.com/product/c... Chin Mount: chinmounts.com/products/scorp...
hey there. watching all reviews i can on this helmet. I know you mentioned not having your sunglasses in this video , but generally how does the helmet handle glasses? I need to wear rx lenses, and when i ride rx sunglasses are a must. any issues getting yours on or staying in place when using this helmet?
It holds my sunglasses in pretty well; it's a snug fit for me. They don't flop around or anything. I guess it would depend on how tight the pads are to your face based on your sizing.
I'm using glasses with mine and getting them on is surprisingly easy! There's a little eyeglasses icon inside so I'm pretty sure they've put some thought into it.
Ignoring that your exhaust is probably not the most quiet. At what speed would you say does the helmet get loud, and when would you say earplugs are recommended when riding 10-20mins? Thanks in advance
I can ride around town without ear plugs just fine. I've got loud exhaust and a loud radio. If I'm going to be on the highway much I put earplugs in. It's a fairly quiet helmet but I've got the fairing blocking a lot of the wind. Earplugs are a good idea in general though.
At what speed would you say is the wind noticable and when is it loud. Maybe you could stand on a ride to see how the helmet is without your fairings blocking the wind, that would be super cool of you :-) @@mjdcycles
Dude, your mic audio is not good. Pretty sure you know that. Don’t take this as disrespect. I’m glad you made a video. You obviously know what you’re doing on the video end, what actually happened with the audio?
@@kencasper5807 It's not the greatest but that may be because I'm behind the fairing and I have long hair. It may be different if you have more air hitting the helmet. I mostly ride with the visor cracked so it hasn't been an issue.
do you listen to music when riding? as in through the fairing speakers? if so, can you hear the music well? I'm a half helmet guy, but feel I need more protection of a full face...
I do listen to music through the fairing while riding and I can hear it just fine. But, I have 4 speakers with 100W a piece so it can get pretty loud. With a full face helmet you can tell a difference when your face shield is open or closed. Even just a little crack to vent makes a difference.
Bogotto Radic is cheaper, actually a trail helmet. Many vents, so many that some times bugs will crash through the vents... It has the drop down inside visor, but with so many vents the eyes tend to get a bit of air, but I use my some Oki sunglasses underneath and seems to work well! You see in the summer this particular helmet rocks it pretty well, although not as much protection as my winter helmet... But I thought that at the legal speed limits I ride at it should suffice. And the look is simply really different and cool...very comando, pilot, special military forces look, if you know what I mean 😊 I saw the Scorpion one, and the street fighter, which is almost the same as the Bogotto Radic helmet.
