SMART LEAN TECHNOLOGY™
Ride confidently on the Challenger thanks to its state-of-the-art technology. It features a Bosch 6-axis IMU, which measures vehicle acceleration in all directions to determine lean angle and pitch. This is used to tune traction control and ABS intervention.
See the showroom for details.

I don’t think lean technology works on slow speed maneuvering so I’m confused to u saying it doesn’t work 80% of the time. As I understand lean technology came out in 2020 and meant for higher speeds. I rode a friends 2020 Indian Challenger and it does work before the rider could even react. Nevertheless, I would take skill over technology and no matter how much technology there is, it will never be a 100% replacement of skill and common sense.

No tech is a substitute for safe careful riding.. that said I don’t think the Polaris version seems quit as effective as the Harley rdrs

Are you basing this on technical facts?

Chris Free to my knowledge anyway Indian does not offer the stop assist where it will hold the brake itself while your stopped on a hill which I have never had but it is a nice feature as for all the other aspects I have not put the bikes to an ultimate test but as described as how they work I would say yes Harley is better

Steve Xaxa i see your point i didnt know HD had that or if indian has that.. I thought this video was about preventing accidents when the bike is in motion..? That brake assist thing is that for new riders that dont have a lot of experience?

Chris Free well I have rode all my life but it’s nice if your at a stoplight you can use it to free your brake hand... the rest yes is for rainy or slick conditions or braking in a turn... all works similar but from what I can get from it I like Harley system best... but I haven’t had any near death experiences on either bike yet to prove the system mostly you don’t notice it except if you brake hard in a turn or wet roads Harley system also prevents problems if you downshift your quick or give gas too hard on slick or sandy roads

Steve Xaxa i wonder how riders have survived all these years without all these bells & whistles ? Ive ridden 26 states with non of those electronics.. i think they are cool.. but needed ? Nope.. especially considering HD has been making bikes since 1903 . Ive never needed a “rain mode” why ? Cause i knew it was raining so I slowed my ass down , and didnt brake like something with no experience.. it feels like these electronics are taking the responsibility out of you having to learn the proper skills?

If a rider slows down in turns this feature would be mute. Most cycle crashes happen in turn no matter what the technology so slow down and rear tire slippage is not going to happen.

Watch the video again ... they didnt say it prevents ALL situations.. watch it and notice EXACTLY what they say it doesnt prevent..
