Ride & Review: Topeak Explorer Rack/ MTX TrunkBag EXP/ MTX Rear Basket 

Ah just a leisurely ride down the Cherry Creek trail through central Denver, Colorado. And I just happened to be looking for a good review of these types of bags.

I have the MTX DX beam rack with side support that I use with the MTX bag. It proves very useful on short light grocery runs with loads less than 9kg. The additional rain cover is also a good idea to get on those monsoon rain events.

I have used the MTX trunk bag for a decade and it has been very solid. The only long term issue I had was the rubber for the zippers eventually got brittle and broke but it is still completely usable as I just grab the metal part that is still there. I can carry quite a bit of groceries in the panniers and usually keep my tools and lock inside the main bag.

Good video man, you're a natural presenter. Quick question though how to size panniers? Got a 20" foldie and wondered what size panniers I could squeeze on for short weekend trips
