Join me on a bike ride from Canmore to Banff (and back) on the Legacy Trail! This 26KM trail is an amazing ride for cyclists of all skill levels. For years I've cycled this trail for fun and for sport, and its a great connector between Canmore and Banff National Park. Enjoy!

What a beautiful ride,one of my easy road bike trail 😊 did you also ride until Johnston Canyon from Legacy trail?

Hi... What are the work options if someone wishes to settle in Canmore ?

Hi there! We have lots of jobs in the local tourism and hospitality sectors, as well as work in construction and other services in town. A key consideration would be finding housing before your arrival, as we do have a very tight market for rentals. Some jobs may come with accommodation. How much of the ride is right along the #1?

Hi Roger - it’s not right on the highway for most of the parts around Canmore and as you get closer to Banff. I would say maybe 50% of it (from the Rundle Lookout to near Banff) is “closer” to the highway. There is a divider and it feels safe, there’s just the noise from the vehicles. Usually when I ride I listen to music so it never bothers me. Hope this helps! - Dan McGuire Canmore & Cochrane Realtor

@danmcguire-canmorebanffrea1988 thank you. I am originally from Calgary. But I live north of spokane. We are heading up next week. I hope the smoke isn't to bad? Everything is blowing up in our region with fires. BTW. My father insulated that water tower right along the hwy in the 50's and installed equipment at the cement plant on the Eastside of Canmore. @@rogerloos420 Very neat! Smoke here is intermittent; its coming from BC and further north so it really depends on the winds. Cooler weather over the past few days has helped but its hit and miss at this time of year for sure. Cheers and enjoy your trip
