RideLondon is an annual festival of cycling held at the end of May on closed roads. It is a timed event you have to complete the 100 miles within 8 hours including stops; and watch out for the thousands of cyclists!

The RideLondon-Essex 100 took place on Sunday 29th May 2022 starting from Victoria Embankment in Central London going into Essex via the historic Epping Forest and ending at Tower Bridge in Central London. I only managed to get 5 hours sleep the night before, most of it broken, which wasn’t the best preparation.
This was a different challenge for me especially I was not allowed to use my favoured Aero Bars which is a comfortable position for me, thus I had to focus more on staying on the drops and keeping my elbows at 90 degrees when on the hoods to get aero and save energy, which I had to get my body used to.
