Monarch allows for an extra card per turn and being able to control being Monarch helps with that. However, I agree with you, Boros colors (even with Blue) added aren’t known for card draw but I tried to include at least two cards in the upgrade for that. Being able to create tokens helps anyone playing this deck also hold back a bit if they feel a BW coming, since you’re getting tokens out you don’t necessarily have to play every creature in your hand as fast as possible, especially if you’re hitting hard and consistently already. Aggro requires prudence, as you’ve expressed, but at least with Aragorn as commander you have more incentive to be Monarch and have additional draw power.

Thanks for commenting. As I stated in the video, I built this deck to function with either commander. I recommended Aragorn and Palace Jailer would work better with him and I would recommend it if he’s the commander but this video was to show how to build for either commander and certain things were cut for that reason.
