You could have saved the money by finding the drum trap first. The trap always cloggs at the toilet connection on the out side of the drum trap and is next to impossible to open without going through that rubber fernco cap. Don't forget to plug tub with putty or a washcloth before you remove that rubber cap. 25 years plumber

I'm watching this video from London UK. When would you use a short hose and the large combined 2 hoses together ?
@fortorangewoodworking
@fortorangewoodworking Год назад
The hoses can used as an 18", a 30" or a 48" when used in combination. The different lengths can be used depending on how far the machine will sit from the drain source. For example, if you are clearing a sink, you may want to use the longer hose so that the machine can sit on the floor and still reach. Hope that helps and thanks for subscribing!

Plungers are for terlits. When you use one on a sink or tub, you risk breaking the seal.

I wonder how it compares to a Milwaukee M18 pistol snake.
@fortorangewoodworking
@fortorangewoodworking Год назад
Not sure. I don't have the Milwaukee platform and there are certain time where i want "plugged in power." Let me know if you bite the bullet and give it a shot!
@jamescarter6318
@jamescarter6318 Год назад
@@fortorangewoodworking Will do. I have a lot of m18 and m12 tools just not a pistol snake. So far I really think the M18 platform closes the gap between DC and AC tools. In fact my M12 fuel hammer drill drives screws 95 percent as fast as a 20v DeWalt MAX. Don't be afraid to ditch the cord man! Unless it's a K-50.

Ha ha ha I passed a snake so many time with success until one day after 5 to 6 months from the last time , I decided it is not possible to have to do this every 6 months. So I decided to cut the pipe in the basement and low and behold , I found a hair build up of 2 and a 1/2 foot to 3 foot hair clog that built up over time. So not to be disrespectful but when you showed your clog , I laughed.
@fortorangewoodworking

Yup... there's definitely a time to cut the pipe. Been there, too!

very good video please be aware of your eyes and your hands. drain chemicals could be bad for your health. sorry to preach.but if you have read the owners manual you would know pvc gloves and ansi 87 safety glasses minimum. once again great job.

As a woodworker, I've had too many close calls while wearing gloves. I was pretty confident that this thing wouldn't generate enough power to be a serious risk. Could've probably benefited from a pair of nitrile, though!

@@fortorangewoodworking thin rubber or plastic gloves are a 'no-go' when handling cable. Leather.
@cuttingmotion7832
@cuttingmotion7832 9 месяцев назад
“Ugly” rubber gloves or the ones RIDGID supplies work well. All those microscopic barbs on the cable would love to take you down the drain with it so best to just be smart and safe with the proper gloves! Nitrile gloves will literally get torn off your hand and become impossible to pull out of the coils of the cable, so best to just be smart about it.

Absolute piece of garbage, do NOT waste money on this thing. Cables are junk and turn to solid rust after 1 use, the "clear" holder will be rust covered and useless in no time. Owned it for 2 years and on my third cable. It will be in the trash after this cable breaks. The cable feed rollers lock up, fall off, and make them totally worthless for auto feed and retract. Love rigid, but this thing is nothing but garbage. My K400 will go nearly anywhere thing thing will and works flawlessly. Small drain get the K9-102 Flex shaft now and this sits on the truck 99.9% of the time.
