@@yasinzeydulusoy mate, the drama is nothing...if you've been around awhile you know not to take much stock in the roadmap anyway. Actual adults don't get emotional over videogames, especially when they're in development
Holy Crap that was amazing, stuff like this gives me hope for the future of this game. It's a mix of Terrada's "Hard Flying" videos, F-zero, and FPV drone racing. The scale and Glock makes it so much more exhilarating to watch. The cinematic camera angles of the whole race at start are awesome too, anyway to see more footage of the race from afar?
Great job guys, i wish you also showed your control inputs as some streamers do, it would help me understand what control inputs you have to do to race like this.

I 've tried it... And honestly I have to see it looks a lot easier watching this video then when you attempt this in game. I 've been crashing into buildings a lot, I need a lot more practice before getting any where close to these guys flying skills. They are really good.
This is fantastically fun to watch. Well done on the commenting and analysis. Makes me wish my joystick wouldn't randomly nosedive me, or I'd jump in the racing game too.
It's very easy to underestimate how hard it actually is to fly the way like they are doing from watching this on video. These guys must have been practicing a lot, beceause what they are pulling of in this video is seriously some bad ass manouvres.
CIG would benefit by promoting grassroots activity like this and the Daymar Rally perhaps even develop into an annual "Murray Cup" event. Additionally, these seem like perfect opportunities to create unique game loops for the Reliant Mako. Perhaps provide a unique camera ability for someone within a Reliant Mako to capture "over the shoulder" remote footage tagged to another ship. Similar how they work when someone's view changes when they enter a remote turret, could they do something similar but set the view at a set point behind another ship? Obviously not wanting to let players use these unique camera views everywhere, perhaps explain it as restricted within established raceways or requiring the camera drone to be locked (by radar or something, not physically attached) to the target, at least for now. Possibly add a mini-game loop where the controller has to skillfully keep the view centered and steady, just as a turret gunner is challenged to stay on target when a fighter pilot is flying erratically. The camera controller would need to know the course almost as well as the racer does in order to anticipate sudden moves and maintain a stable recording. No one wants to get motion sickness watching a camera jerking all over the place and barely keeping the racer in the frame. Now, whether they can establish an actual reason to do this rather than just continue to capture game footage like this, would need to be considered. Perhaps an "in-game monetary loop" could be created by establishing an upkeep costs of the drones versus some payment by selling the film, based on set parameters to establish the skill of the controller to determine the "value of the film". However, even if it's just to give a unique ability to the Mako and promote skilled racers like this, it expands players options. Perhaps eventually expand to similar combat situations by being attached to a military ship to record a battle as a war correspondent?
Probably they could make a drone for that, like drones that attach to objects like ships; you could then access the drone feed from a console in your deployment vessel.

What they should do is get this into the Pro E-Sports venue. I suspect that to do that, however, the game will need to be live, not in Alpha, or Beta...but Live. Racing is huge in E-Sports, so no reason this cannot be something with very real prizes, which would bring a lot of attention to Star Citizen. Also, tracks like this can't be used. Only tracks that are official, and have clearly marked gates to fly through, like all the official race tracks. They don't need to be like the hoops, but the racers have to know where to fly, even the first time they enter the game. That new track qualifies, because the route is obvious.
Nice looking I think for events a non collision mode would make sense for off track course's like this one just giving players the ghost impression of other players but some shoulder barging on tracks like the game wipeout used to produce would be something special . Is there a planet that is obsessed with racing and sport were this is an option ? I have never played star citizen but I watch alot of videos on Bounty's mining and architecture

This was the coolest fkn thing ive ever seen. I love scifi and racing almost equally. Racing has made star citizen 10x more amazing(for me personally)... just need some pc upgrades to even get to see my ship 😒
I got a 16c/32t 1st gen Threadripper and are always vexed about that one CPU core being quasi-maxed at ~85% by one game thread and my biggest feature with is the multithreading of that piece of work, and also hoping that that won't accomplish nothing due to me still using W7. ... But I also gotta say, on W8 where certain core scheduling works differently, these days I only get higher framerates in situations where it is relatively high anyway. Wherever it drops into the 10s and 20s on W7, it is identical on W8. I am still not completely sure whether it is the game or render thread, but I think render, because sometimes the game has brief phases of 100%-maxing one core and that surely won't happen with a render thread, and I could also not tell why that would happen on my end in the scenes where it does. CIG devs recently said certain old hardware will not experience benefit from optimizations, but that was specifically in regards to graphics, although with how intertwined CPU and GPU stuff is in the game, I am concerned.
@@BlackMaze i just found them. Thanks mate! If you need a video idea, I'd love to see some interviews with race winners and top pilots on their controls and setups. Some of that flying is just unreal.
In the future, they need to set up offical leagues, with Points and Standings, and maybe some commentary while you "stream" the race via your mobiglass.

I'd love to be able to watch player races in-verse. Like go into your mobi and you can watch in spectator mode. I don't know how that would be possible but hot damn would it be awesome
