To the casual observer, airbrushing the tremolo springs probably seems like being too lazy to mask them off, but its actually an ancient tone ninja technique to really nail the solos. Thats tone paint.

That Schecter "modification" made me physically angry. I've dealt with this kind of person before; the kind that doesn't know what a truss rod is, but insists that anything past 1978 is garbage.

I've actually had the thought to convert a 7 string to a 6 before, got daddy long legs fingers so a slightly wider spacing makes sense... if you're really baked.

You know what's really ridiculous? When a guy in the maple valley area lists a randall century for a reasonable price, then flakes every time you make the trip down to go buy it. I think I have 10 hours in trying to buy that amp a few years ago. Thanks

That Schecter listing was posted in an ESP group on Facebook and a bunch of mouth breathers started bashing Schecter, not even bothering to read the description. They thought it was a factory mod.

Ya, there aren't many good deals to be found on Reverb anymore. A solid 80% of listings are just a cash grab job. It is what it is, but what really makes me mad is how this Reverb nonsense has trickled down in to local listings as well....

Converting a 7-string to a 6 for wider string spacing is a neat idea, but it was executed horribly here. The strings don't even go over the pole pieces on the pickups. I guess I shouldn't be surprised though, since the craftsmanship on the rest of the mod was so jank.

The 6 string conversions from 7 strings are a thing recently. A luthier I sometimes watch had a customer ask him to convert their Matt Heafy 7 string Les Paul into a 6 string. Diabolical.

You did a good Christopher Walken impression, Fluff. I wouldn't buy it, but there's something about that Texas Chainsaw Massacre guitar that I like. Maybe it's the stitching. Does it come with it's own blood, or do you have to pay extra, I wonder. The travel guitar was one of the most fugly things I've ever seen, and it certainly deserves to be posted to Ugly Guitars.

The leatherstrat looks like something you would be asked to get done as a commission - not just make it and ask 2k for it. also you could use the money to get a higher quality guitar too.. yeah weird.
