That elephant guitar - the mix of 5 guitar tuners and 3 bass tuners - sheesh. THEN - the mix of a pair of 6-string humbuckers with a Bass pickup shoved inbetween - with some of it's pole pieces in free space and one set under a string already picked up by the humbuckers. And yeah - no way in heck does that thing intonate.
His custom made guitars are not as wild as that elephant job but check out some Charlie Hunter, he plays a hybrid 4-string guitar/3-string bass instrument to great effect! He is a phenomenal player!
@@TylerJohnstonGuitar Don't need one for that either. I've driven grip-trucks and camera-trucks that size. Granted, I driven 5-ton trucks & refuelers in the Marines. But, they are big and require some experience.
You underestimate the younger boomer generation. They buy $5,000 wheels for their side-by-sides and $100,000 trucks and boats like it's nothing. That EVH* case lid will be in some garage above a Corvette in no time haha!
Wrongo kiddo, I'm a younger generation boomer. and I don't have a garage. and I drive an old piece shit Ford P/U. from what I have noticed it's you young whipper snappers. that are driving around in new Honda's, Subaru's, and diesel P/Us. and I would like to know what possess you people to make your cars backfire on purpose? making an engine backfire can't be good for it. one things for sure my generation never did anything so stupid.
That EVH thing looks to be the sidepanel of the road case. It’s not even the removable front panel for the case. I’m blown away that someone actually bought it tho. Wow
poorT Bird!! It reminds me of a 50's strat someone tried to sell on my local C-list. At some point it had been cut into the approximate shape of a Vox Teardrop and had its finish removed to bare wood. Seller swore it wasnt them...
Is that recording truck ridiculous? I mean an SSL console with that many mic pres must still be worth something on its own. Things looked clean and well-installed.
I see used guitars on there that are six months old that cost more than a brand new one of the same kind at Sweet Water or ZZound. You can get it new for less. They are nuts.
For the exact same 3850, there’s a Novax Charlie Hunter guitar available (also on Reverb). Ya know if you want a quality version of the elephant guitar, sans the elephants.
Hey Fluff! Finally got my Peppers Dirty Tree Blackout that I ordered a while back. You were 100% right about how amazing it is with the Rectifiers. That thing is insane boosting my Rev G’s. 🤘🏼🔥🤘🏼 Also, I’d like to see a video comparing running an OD in the Loop vs in the front of the amp. And how some OD’s sound awesome in both positions, and some sound like shit in the loop. My Fortin Hexdrive sounds awesome in the front of the amp, but sounds terrible in the loop (can’t even adjust it to get a good sound), whereas my Dirty Tree sounds good in both positions, but did require some tweaking in the loop to get the tone very organic with the amp, but just a slight brightness boost on top of the Rev-G tone, without washing it out. 👍🏼
That poor abused thunderbird has been bouncing around Craigslist Philadelphia for several months. Surprising....you'd think there would be at least one fool with $$. If you are a luthier, you could remove the "wings" from the neck, and craft new ones. And then lean in hard with a really pretty finish. And his price is wrong..$3000 is about the skin crawl number.... Thanx!
You made a good point. What takes 6 years for a guitar build? I think 2 months is perfect from Keisel. Granted there is gold plating and the price is more like 2-3 thousand.
Wow that thunderbird was a sin. It is basically only good for parts. Like using the husk’s center piece to repair a thunderbird with a bad neck repair. I could see asking a few grand for the value of parts. But come on 8k is insanely over priced.
That recording truck was actually cool! Kinda reminds me of “wish bus” in the philippines which is a bus turned to a mobile recording studio/radio station and it drives around the country while bands and artists are playing inside the bus! Really cool concept and now they have one in california
The flightcase front panel is fine, most people here would pay $500 for it, so a rich guy will pay $5,000, and you don't want the full case, you can't hang a case on the wall
That T-Bird isn't the worst thing I've seen on ridiculous reverb listings. It's terrible, but I'm sure a skilled luthier could build the missing timber back onto the body, give it a gorgeous finish, and restore it to its former glory. There is hope for that one at least!
The right person could restore that T-Bird bass. Since it's a neck-through (which looks to be in good shape), you could replace the wings with new mahogany. $8000 for a project bass is ridiculous though. Maybe $3000.
Is it weird that I don’t think the second one is that bad😅, if that was made like that from the beginning and not based on the Les Paul Jr I don’t think many people would see the issue🤔
The best part of these is the "legendary artist" and then you Google their name and... Nada. Nothing. Nothing at all. So "legendary" artist that Google doesn't even know them.
3:00 Why would you give a "legendary Italian artist" the cheapest thing you can find? He spent 6 years on this? Such a huge waste of time on a piece that never deserved it.
You gotta throw a sponsor me tape at him, I'll explain. What I had to do to get noticed is hide out at his most likely post office box physical location and wait to toss him a tape with the goods on it.
