I think you got it backwards, going by the real life and what the movie is about, Sebastian Stan as Trump is going to be the POV protagonist with more screentime, and Jeremy Strong as Roy Cohn is going to be the dominating presence in the movie.

It feels really hard to believe that just from a career narrative view that either Domingo or Fiennes won't win, Sebastian Stan depending on the film and the state of society is also a possibility.

I cared about She Said! It was better than EEAAO and many of the Oscar movies. That and Glass Onion were my favorite movies of that year.

Paul Mascal in Gladiator. I feel like that movie has heavy actors!!! I can see it going to either him or Denzel for supporting…..

Rooting for Ronan. Between Gaga and Jolie, I would have to see the movies but Gaga is pretty talented and I was surprised by her in Star is Born. Zendaya did nothing for me in Dune and I feel no connection to the characters so whether writing or acting is at fault, I hope it does not get any acting nominations.

Dune Pt 2 will receive no acting nominations. Not after Villeneuve trashed dialogue in film in his interviews. The acting and writing branches will punish him severely for that faux paus.

For best actress you miss emma stone for the film kind of kindness....you know that Yorgos Lathimos is a good director for actress.

I don’t think the reason Austin Butler lost was because of the likability of the film. It was against the whale, a film that people liked less. It was the comeback story and charm of Brendan Fraser which took the Oscar away.

Come on, lots of people won as leads by playing villains - Anthony Hopkins in Silence of the Lambs, Forest Whitaker as Idi Amin in The Last King of Scotland, Charlize Theron in Monster, Denzel Washington in Training Day... That's not the reason why Leonardo wasn't nominated for KOTFM. He wasn't nominated because he wasn't campaigning- Lots of people have won awards including Oscars for playing compelling villains in both lead and supporting. I don't know where you are getting that "people want actors in likable heroes to win awards", like the Academy voters are children.

Also I'm not convinced we'll see Trump raping Ivana, since this happened in 1989 when their marriage was falling apart, he was also cheating on her - but the movie is by all accounts not focused on their marriage, it appears to be focused on Trump's relationship with Roy Cohn. So how much are we likely to see events beyond 1986, when Cohn died?

she’s in my top 10 currently, Matt doesn’t have much faith in the Piano Lesson currently so that’s the main reason he has it out

Very bizarre. Even if the movie isn't good, her role and the Sam Jackson role are the two that get the awards nominations. I think she's in.

For best actress you missed Hillary swank for the film ordinary angels.....this film got positive review from critic and Hillary swank acting got praised from critic.

I enjoy gaga as an actor but I genuinely haven’t seen a jaw dropping performance from her yet, they have been solid but personally not enough to predict how she’ll be in joker 2 and Honestly gaga getting an Oscar before Saoirse ronan would be messy imo
