Solo riding a Yamaha Tenere 700 to all 50 states in the USA. Day 1 takes you through Seattle Washington, Portland Oregon, and Crater Lake National Park. The GPS route for my first phase of the trip can be found here: www.google.com...
Absolutely great job on this video. Beautiful! The scenery is wonderful. I’m going to love catching up to where you have traveled. Giving Itchy Boots a run for her money. Smile….
So this is what you've been up to - been gone a long time! And the T7 is much better for mixing it with the Macks. 😳 Usual stunning aerial & big country footage, can't wait to join you on the rest of your trip across your amazing country. 👏🏻 🇺🇸 🇬🇧
Thank you sir for the nice words & sticking around while I was away👍I agree that the T7 was a better fit for this type of trip where I spent most of my time on road. I hope you'll like the new videos from this trip🍻
Looking forward to watching this! I just completed an 8 state 5000 mile road trip and I'm already planning on another USA trip. Can't wait to see where you go so I can get some ideas of my next trip.
Yes it does. I’m Lucky to live right next to owl creek pass In Cimarron CO, access to amazing trails right out my door basically, if ever traveling down Hwy 50 in western Colorado be sure to stop and say hi , I’ve got the only big boy statue on the road , you can’t miss him.
Missed riding with ya for a year, no posts, was hoping all is good for you.. Now I know why! An epic 50 state journey!! And just in time for the winter blah viewing, thanks again for taking all of us along👏
I very much appreciate that you stuck around until I finally published a new video👍 I mentioned this trip to you months ago but it took awhile to complete all the ridding and then edit all the footage! Hope you're doing well🍻
The biked worked really well as a long distance adv IMO👍 The bike is actually nearly stock - I have a larger windscreen, crashbars, and the oem panniers.
@@TrekEthos I test rode one last week and it was fantastic everywhere except the wind buffeting on the interstate was absolutely terrible. What windscreen did you go with? How tall are you? I’m 6’1”?
@@2wheels.are.better.than4 Yeah the stock windscreen is actually worse than the Rally's IMO. I got the Puig Touring Windscreen - I did a bun burner 1500 on the T7 with this windscreen and I was happy with the comfort for the ~24 hours of highway riding. I'm 6' 1"
I'm sitting here gazing into a masterpiece of videography, music, mood and flow. You efforts here inspire me to get better, and for that reminder I thank you. Thank you so much! I can't wait for each new effort by you....
Much appreciated! I rode all the way to the border of Canada on this trip in Lubec Maine but didn't cross over. I'm sure there is a lot of great riding up there. Ride safe buddy👍
Yeah I know! I've been riding a lot but only just started to edit the footage. I've actually ridden 15,000 miles since my last video! Hope you're doing well👍
I actually would have preferred the Rally if I had more time and could have done more exploration off road. To me the Rally is easily the better choice if you want to spend most of your time off-road. For this trip I spent most of my time on road so I opted for the T7.
A beautiful video. Kind of brought tears to my eyes because America is such a beautiful land yet we barely ever see it. Please keep up the awesome work and enjoy the ride. We will see you next video.
I like the bike - It's very comfortable on the highway and powerful enough to be entertaining to ride in a more sporty/aggressive way. It's also the most capable midsize adv bike I've ever seen offroad. It works well for a trip like this which is biased towards on road riding. There is no getting around the fact that it's very heavy and has a high center of gravity which makes the bike feel tippy and makes it more prone to low speed fall overs. I also feel like for solo riding it's a bit more of a gamble, could I lift up this bike if it fell in a awkward way and I was injured? I'm not sure. If I had more time to do this trip where I could've explored more offroad options I would have actually chosen the Rally. I'm lucky enough to be able to have both so I don't have to make a choice. Anyway, that's my honest thoughts - ride safe my friend👍
@@TrekEthos thank you! I ride a 1981 Moto Guzzi V1000G5, a 2001 Honda st1100 and a 2022 Royal Enfield Continental 650. Been riding for 40 years. I like to try different types to keep it interesting. I love the look of the T7. Ride safe too brother!
@@TrekEthosI went for the continental over the int 650 as I like the cafe racer look... It is one of my favorite bikes ever....makes enough power to be fun, looks just right, handles really well. More than anything else, it has charm and character....harder to quantity/explain, but it's real. They are a great deal too. I will be gazing at it all winter along here in Boston.
@@Roger_Ramjet Yeah I get what you mean - I haven't ridden one but it does seem to have a lot character - I can imagine it would feel special to ride as compared to most bikes. It is a pretty impressive deal at its price point too. I'm looking into buying a daily bike we'll see where I end up.
@@TrekEthos you should have so many more subs. Your rally 300 vids are INSANELY good. I've been listening to the soundtrack artists too since you shared those
