Great video - first time I saw the loco coupling from the top, never saw that before (only ever from the side) hard to believe this simple mechanism is so strong, it seems like the 'weakest link'. There was a long lineup of people waiting outside the station as your train was pulling in but yes your point about forcing people off quickly is a valid point - you paid for the whole experience. and to do that at the end was totally inappropriate The scenery was great, especially from where you sat.

It is really amazing how much work went into this car. I got to see it 2 years ago during my annual tour of the roundhouse. Its an amazing car.

3:52 IDK about u, but if u ask me, I'd say that coupler was almost about to come loss.

@@SimplyTrains It would have been a desaster if the engine uncopuled from the train. If it was Railfans Weekend, it would make it even worse cause if another train were to come along the track, IDK if they would crash into the cars witch could cause a derailment. They gotta fix that coupler right away before then.

You would be surprised how strong they actually are. They would have probably seen that when coupling.
