I always waterproof my clothes and my jeans with Nikwax or something like it it is so easy you can do it in the washing machine or a bucket always pre- prep for long distance rides butt is no means a replacement for rain gear let it rain let it rain because if you ride a bike you're going to get caught in the rain sooner or later
