That sound! Even with the background, you can hear the mechanicals. Whether it is the slight rumble from the engine or the bird-like cooing of the transmission, nothing else sounds like a Packard, especially in first gear!
The beautiful sounding straight 8 under the hood made this a very powerful car for its day. Our rural road system at the time was not always up to that though (the only freeway at the time was the PA Turnpike) Love seeing those original gauges working!!! Packard's days of being a true luxury car were numbered though by 1940.
Na minha opinião os Packard foram os carros mais perfeito do mundo eu tive 3 deles um 39 um 41 coupe é um 42 conversível são obras de arte muitas saudades 😢
Nice tour of El Segundo. They used to have gourmet catering trucks once a week and you could buy lunch at the curb and eat at the picnic tables and check out the museum. I have always wondered where the money comes from for that place. High rent area for sure.
