So You want to Ride Motorcycles in Thailand? You may want to check under your seat first. This almost unbelievable sequence of events was captured on video over the course of two difficult days here in Thailand. Big Thanks to the Pattaya municipal workers for returning control of one of my bikes to me from the grasp of two nasty intruders.

Hey Lucas, generally snakes are more scared of you then you are of them. Don't mess with them and they won't attack unless they are cornered: As you clearly saw when the girls tried to catch it. Snakes emit a secretion when they feel threatened and this odor has gained the attention of the second snake. Guaranteed there are more on the property. Removing the hiding places in the garage will help. Also, the motorbike now needs a good wash and put a bag of moth balls under the motorcycle seat to repel any future potential passengers. Great video...!!!!

WOW!! Now if that same species of snake is in that area again, I would be REALLY alarmed. Glad to see Pattaya Animal Control on the case! Man, those snakes were vicious! Really glad to see no one got bit. Happy to see Vee up and around!! Continued prayers!

Whether it was the females actual mate, or a male looking to mate, might I suggest washing the bike sooner than later, don't know if there is a spray to dissuade them. I am not particularly scared of snakes, but man, that would change if I was cruising and it came up between the boys and started snacking on my Johnson😱. Great to see Vy having fun with the situation, that's a good sign

Loucous.. i want to thank you for my upcoming lack of sleep. I am deathly afraid of snakes and this will haunt me for who knows how long. here in Tennessee we use moth balls. we sprinkle them around the yard and in the garage up against the walls. they dont like the smell. i hope you find a solution and quick! many well wishes for Vee and thank you for keeping us entertained as you always do my friend.

As a zoo keeper and have bred almost 100 species of reptiles and amphibians in the past 40 years i did have a few thoughts on your rat snakes. I also thought that it might be a male following a random female. They don't permanently pair up. A male will chase any mature female he comes across. Thanks for the brief herp glimpses you have been sharing.

That's very wild the snake went back to the exact hideaway to find his/ her comfort zone to be left unbothered until of course the seat was removed and the snake relocated.

Hi, Lucus and Vee, I enjoyed your video. A good reminder to check under your seat before riding. Like you said I think the first one was a female and the male came looking for it and got her scent on the bike. My first thought was to kill it but seeing the pest control guys is a better solution. Great seeing Vee up and about with a sense of humour. I hope and pray you are through the rough part of the treatment and Vee can look forward to better times. Lucus, Your other subscriber " Brine Waters explained it well about the snake's musk scent that they emit. Plus the suggestion of using a few moth balls as a repellant. Also placing a few moth balls in those areas & in the cracks & holes around the fence will also help in warding them off. Also works well as a rat & mouse repellant.

We have had a couple of snakes crawl through the condo in Hua Hin this past year, but when they saw us they left quickly( thank goodness) good wishes to Vee as always, and another great video….( oh, also stopped by Lucky’s to pick up a few of your shirts)👍🏼

your public servent with the ciggarette :) pure Thailand :) snakes usually go to warmest surface, why they where up off the cooler floor. maybe the first one was gravid (in season) maybe the second one was following the scent of the first but most likely the reason the on the bike is that the warmer place as stone tiles concrete suck heat... good to see though they take them away and release them them though :)

Imagine feeling the touch of one of those snakes while you're riding on a freeway. Horrible! I'd always cringed anytime I saw Vee out napping in the grassy area of your compound all because of those creatures. I must say y'all are courageous to even stick around the scene. I'd have bolted 😁

We were tickled by the snake catcher nonchalantly smoking a cigarette whilst rescuing the snake as if he wasn't fazed. Meanwhile, everyone else is watching from great distance and ready to run a mile! 😂 Happy you got it sorted, well done to the brave teams who came.

Yep it's a Copperheaded Racer and mostly called a Radiated Rat Snake. The stripes and copper head are a dead giveaway. They flatten their neck vertically which let's them recoil up in an S shape tighter than most snakes. This allows them to strike at great speed and distance compared to others. They certainly are way more threatening in their behavior than they are dangerous. They are one of the rodent control snakes, and absolutely harmless, but Thailand is no place to guess. I think there's something like 39 species of venomous snakes there. About 6 of them are considered extremely dangerous, with fatal bites every year.

Hey Lucas 100% there are more around that area, i had a python for around 17 years as a pet. And Brine Waters summed the situation up and my thoughts are the same. Just be vigilant and check everywhere around your property because the scent of those snakes are all over your property.

I have owned a few snakes and most do not mate for life, but the females will leave a scent when ready to breed and males will follow that. I would use soap and possibly a degreaser on your bike to get rid of the smell.

Japanese rat snakes are pretty docile; they like lofts and dark places. They usually run away when you get near them; give them a way out....

Radiated rat snakes. Not poisonous but aggressive when cornered and very agile. Snakes only mate and do not spend time together but yes highly likely the second one was a male picking up the scent of the previous female. Hope that helps and great to see someone doing the right thing and not killing it. People need to know a snake will always be more scared than the person and only wants to get away.

Think of this way, … if you had a place where you could relax, enjoy the scenery and eat/drink to your heart’s content, … would you leave??? I’m no professional, … but I have noticed one thing in life!!! Those snakes may be working on a rodent problem in your area!!! I remember she called me into the house and asked me what all the little black rice looking things were on the counter and in the cupboard. I calmly asked her what she’s been doing with all the groceries and bakery items. She said that she’s got everything placed away and cleaned. I know she kept a cleaned house, … but I told her a mouse can fit through her ring and we now had new renters. She wasn’t amused at my calm demeanor. Wow. I lived a while in Australia, and I learnt snakes have poor sight, but rely on vibration and smell. Either way, if I were you after that, I would want anti-snake cctv, and anti-snake bike pants in case the scent gets on you! I hope that is the end of it!

Yes, mating Phernomes perhaps if it is that time of year or perhaps faint odors of (dare I say it) Hemroids? In any case my first reaction was Tongs, looking for a cut of some kind! Lol! And now, you Have Everyone who rides wondering if THEY need to check their bikes every time They go for a scoot. Did you really see the ramifications of the scenes suggested by yer escapade? i.e. cut to busy intersection.......An Expat on his Scoot of choice is waiting in heavy Traffic at a light, dressed in shorts and flops, for a quick trip to the 7/11. And then he looks between his legs at the clammy thing wrapping around his right leg! WHAT WOULD YOU DO, lol!

Hi from 🇮🇳 Few remedies 1. Use/put kerosene in and around your house specially on the boundary area from where snakes are coming. 2. Also another solution is to make some garlic 🧄 water and put that as well... Most snakes won't cross these

FYI... There is a snake glue trap that you can get that when you first see the snake, you can throw it on the ground in front of it or beside it then use a stick to roll the snake on the glue cardboard adhesive, where it will be stuck and immobilized for safe disposal. A pest control man used that to get a snake from behind my sofa.👍

I had a few baby cobra’s show up which unfortunately the cat killed.. Then on me phone one day I saw mummy, next to my feet! Was the joint most beautiful thing I ever saw, joint with seeing a blue whale big eye looking next to the boat in Australia…. It reacted to the car engine eventually, showed its full cobra head, and disappeared into the jungle never seen by me again.. Yes they react to vibration because their deaf, so the car engine moves them on.. 🙏❤️We are all special with no judgement ❤️🙏
