Brilliant video. Ullrich was always a favourite of mine and I am glad he seems to have his demons under control. I understand he runs a cycling company which runs fan rides, I'd love to meet the man.

Yep, thats got to be one of the most bizarre episodes - Andy Walser was primarily an architect turned carbon racing sled builder who did super niche top end bikes on the side, then disappeared... Dan
Can be tricky confirming a team bike - which team? Most T-Mobiles should be carbon Giant TCR with a race number hanger (though this was also on some replicas) - is there a rider name? Dan
This bike has been my dream bike (actually, the 2003 version on which Ullrich defeated Armstrong in that legendary time trial) for many years. Ullrich going absolutely ballistic on it on Cap Decouverte looked so incredibly athletic, really becoming one with the machine. I'd be curious which position he would be riding in now, where the position is generally much more upright on the TT bikes. Thanks so much for making this video.
If I remember correctly the early version Ullrich rode in `03 had the rim brakes hidden behind the forks - super cool. Both Ullrich and Boardman used these extreme positions as they could make power when folded up - I`m pretty sure they`d embrace the higher positions currently used and go even faster, Dan

love the story about Treks tt bikes sucked so bad they sent an employee pretending to be a "triathlete" to get one of the frames.....it might not be 100% true but it's a very Trek thing to do 😁
