Love it. Back when the Pokemon Go craze was still huge and I was a lot younger, my older sister would take me to uptown to use the trolley and hit up all the Pokestops. While the trolley is free, the guy running it (I think his name was Sam the two times I went) is extremely kind so we always tipped him $5. It's a fun experience.
No problem! It was a fun ride! Blast from the past. I’m glad that street car line was preserved. Galveston used to have one but Hurricane Ike destroyed the line…Galveston leaders said that they’re going to restore…but I don’t know when.
I see my favorite streetcar at the start.(4614-Margaret) Matilda(369) is their longest car and Petunia (636) is one of two single truck cars. One thing I do know there are plans to restore another car.
It is a trolley not a train. And the operator is called a motorman. That is what us New Yorkers of which I am and also Philadelphia citizens also call them whether a subway train or a trolley.
@@214dude2 True but I was in The Big D on a weekend in April 2019 and there wasn't much foot traffic in Uptown and Downtown. Deep Ellum had decent foot traffic Sunday afternoon though.
@@HOUExplorer Sounds like fun, people will get to experience both new and old when riding side by side one another, it will be fun for both tourists and locals alike, and it will also really make up Dallas's economy
