Japan is special because it's a long and narrow country with a mountainous center, which means the majority of the population are all living relatively near to the coast line. So everyone is already living in big line along the coasts. The country is perfect for train travel.

i went about 15 years ago & it was life changing. the best month of my life - just wandering around fukuoka while my girlfriend was attending a language school during the day. i think about it almost every day & can't wait to go back. you won't regret it. money comes & goes but experiences are life long.

I love people who understand and enjoy Japanese culture. Basically, Japanese people do not interact with other people, but if a good tourist is in trouble, they will watch over them from afar first, and when they find what they can do, they will help them as much as possible. If there are annoying tourists, I just look at them from afar. I am using Google Translate.

I've seen at least one other channel here on RU-vid that focuses on female only travel accommodations in Japan. Not the type of thing you see often in the West, but then again things like capsule hotels and communal sleeping areas on trains and ferries are uncommon here so there's less need for it.
