Well what do you guys think of the kart? Should I swap the engine on it? Please SUBSCRIBE and LIKE the video if you enjoyed! It really helps me out a lot! Check out my Instagram: 2_vintage_ Thank you for all the support!
Carting in the 60's and 70's was wild and those carts are still worth money. McCullough 2 strokes etc -some twin engine and two cylinder also. Later on the mini bike craze, which morphed into mini motorcycles and enduro bikes = xr75, then the mx bikes. All these bikes and carts are golden and sought after = fun times. You could ride anywhere back then also.
I've got a trail master 80 came with a 2 stroke and a 2 speed transmission thing runs almost 60 I'm covered in scares from it but I had a ton of fun on it as a kid restored about 10 years ago still ride it
Bought a Morton to put on land my dad left me the house is part is 20x50 and 2 stories the garage is 50x50 I had to build another 30x40 to store my collection on of toys in
@@2vintage get a garage with a house not a house with garage. u need more space, i got the same problem at my parents i got a fooden garage that fits 2 quads i got 12... 10 under plastic covers outside... cause there is no place....
That kart is really clean for its age! I almost bought one of those Indy karts for my kids a few years back. It was a 1990 with a Briggs and Stratton flat 5 that ran on alcohol. It was so beat up I had to pass. I can’t believe how complete and original yours is! Good find Joe!
Joe...I think part of the problem is the centrifugal clutch...it's rusty from sitting...pull the clutch and flip it around to see the weights and the inside surface that they grab on to. Clean the inside with some real rust penetrant and sand paper or wire brush...clean with your damned WD and give it another rip. Sounds like it's slipping bad now...
This little thing is pretty bad ass! It would be awesome to see you throw on an engine that has a bit more horsepower. I bet you it would be kinda scary riding it with some real power.
Not sure, but that looks like carts that were for sale at Napa Auto parts stores in the late 70's and early 80's. They had mini Indy cars and mini Stock cars as well.
Briggs are simple. The carb pumps fuel continually into a bowl in the tank and it just overflows. The main jet sucks the fuel from the bowl and it doesn't need a float and needle.
you should get a 400cc scrambler. i have a polaris sport 400cc its a rocket ship, its so damn fast. i have never seen you get one. or s trailbalzer 250cc
I remember we hooked a string to the throttle cable you could push it over to get it to rev out more this one I'd probably leave it be for the kids little bit to small in my opinion that's a cool little go-kart
@@creekfishermenoutdoors936 I used PB then on the same bolt used freeall and PB didnt work either. Freeall. Try it you will never go back. PB blast smells' like it will work but does not cut the mustard.
That cart should be going much faster. It also should take off way faster. Seems it’s tapping out at around 30% throttle. Fix that darn thing lol. I want to see it go.
Too Funny! and I Loved this Series on this Kid's Go-Kart. I never saw something like this, and to have it made of plastic? Plastic doesn't do well with Age. As I was watching this, I kept wondering just how you were going to Drive it. So, my mind thought, what would I do if I was in Joe's shoes. . . I probably would have asked the kid next door, but then I Sadly remembered, I'm not living in the early 1960's when any Kid would have given his Left Nut to drive this thing! Nope, we are in the Politically Correct 2021's when everything has been turned up side down, and everyone would sue you in an INSTANT if their kid was scratched while driving it. Kid's today are Wrapped in Bubble Wrap just to walk to the Mail Box and back! can't imagine what Gear would be deemed NECASSARY before little Johnny would be allowed to drive this 20 mph Kart. bubble Wrap and a Helm it would be just the start of the list! times were once so much simpler, but not today. thanks for the Kart video.
I have a ‘98 polaris xplorer 400, it runs well for about 13 minutes then starts stuttering and shuts off. It doesn’t start until about 30 minutes later. Its not over heating and i have no idea what the problem is.
always warey of selling kids stuff because dads come back when little johnny drives the machine you sold him under a truck. amazed it started . i remember my young son driving similar on a go cart birthday treat with his friends and 4 year olds and machinery are a bad combo. shunts crashes non stop. we got a magician the following year as it was safer😀
back in 80's we got similar plastic cars in finland, & there was a company who build these lokariauto, ( Google it ) & straight translate its a fendercar, there was a many different car body's, example there was saab, picup, formula, jeep & many more, Lokariauto is the name of Lokari small cars manufactured by Leo Laine Oy. Sometimes the term is also used for other similar vehicles. The car body is made of plastic and is currently powered by a Honda or Kama engine of about five horsepower. In the 1980s, engine power was about 3.5 horsepower.but many put own moped engines from honda monkey 50cc to 90cc & suzuki pv 50cc to 80cc & speed was about 100kmh or even more depends of tuning parts & racing Pipes.
Ya should stage the moter and put a jugernaut clutch in it it go a but better but stage 1or 2 the moter lol she go much better .use cars and cameras code at power sports place for parts godbless and stay safe
