Why both wives of these ministers signed the contract, are they working? how much was their wives salary, it not only about legal or not legal, it about ethics and putting one in a grey area, state properties should be out of bounds for public servants because the in general there are areas maintained by use of taxes payers money. Paying premium to drive a imported car is the same as pay property tax on colonial bungalow and often at a premium as most prime areas are tenanted by startups and civil servants will pay the business rates for such premium locations.

He must also pay the property tax for residential occupancy of Ridout Road without additional cost to the ministry 😮 when a residential property in prime areas must pay a higher rate in property tax simply due to the size and location. It is 30% of the value of the property and it is paid annually 😮 How much rent and how much property tax does he pay to the inland revenue and customs for all his properties holdings in SG and his rental income or benefits he received from living in a prime area and renting for private residential occupations?

@@Buttercookies0 if you can show any concrete proof that there is any wrongdoing then prove it. TCH is a seasoned politician it will be very hard for Shanmugam or Dr Vivian to fool him. It will be thoroughly investigated and be reviewed as TCH is a senior minister and has the rights to obtain highly sensitive and confidential files that may hide any wrongdoing. If you put an independent team to investigate it will be more difficult and challenging as If there is corruption practices or any wrongdoing. It is highly unlikely they can get access to confidential and highly sensitive files which can hide their wrongdoing. So by putting an independent team they will most certainly get away with it.
Seriously I believe legally all is done according to our law and rules. But shouldn't he avoid this at all cost? There are so many place to rent a house. Now he ownself ask for investigation mean he know in principal is not right to rent. Now wasting tax payer time and money to clear his name and waste a senior minister time to clear this shit. I suggest these 2 minister use their own money to clear their reputation by suing anyone who say the rent is not legally done.
