Pat Mac has honed “the knuckle dragger version” to a science. He just explained, very well, in 100 seconds, what I’ve heard others take an hour to cover, and still not get their point across.
@OmegaBahn
@OmegaBahn 2 года назад
The fact that he brought out a white board means he really wants us to understand the theory of operation and not just imagine it in your head then if you don't understand it's on you. Mark of a true professional instructor.

@Gawasi 88 -- I was going to leave a very similar comment. All understanding starts at the "knuckle-dragger" level. And, the truest test of someone's intimate understanding of something complex (sightline vs barrel bore; external ballistics) is their ability to relate it simply, easy-to-understand, and without confusion. Pat Mac hammered this one!

Pat Mac, I've probably watched 15-20 of your videos. What stands out, apart from your intensity and love of sharing knowledge, is how damned intelligent you are. Every subject I've watched you cover, you hammer the basics in a way that makes them easily understood AND you show them as the building blocks of more advanced applications. Great mind, great teaching skills. Would enjoy taking a class from you one day.

Pat has a method of disseminating a maximum amount of information in a short period of time, love it. Though this block of instruction was given a thousand times in my military career, it's one I often have to revisit to keep the fundamentals fresh in my mind. Point of order, you can watch 10 youtubers give a 20 minute class on this, or just watch a 5 minute video by the GOAT.
