Right now, currently, is the Seiko Prospex SLA075 the best luxury Dive Watch for the price?

Pound for pound, comparing raw specs such as quality of luxury build fit and finish, Grand Seiko movement, and deep and rich heritage, for the price of $2,800 US Dollars, is this USA Exclusive SLA075 the best high end luxury dive watch at the current moment overall? It very well may be.
When I research similar build and like luxury divers, as of the moment this piece comes in at nearly half the retail price of all the other comparable high end Swiss and German made luxury Divers.
Comment and please civilly your thoughts and I fully stand to be corrected if I'm wrong if I missed any truly comparable luxury divers with a similar retail price out there that can go pound for pound, raw specs to adequately better this high end diver for the price.
I'm in no way seeking nor am I saying that high end Seiko is superior to that of Swiss Made, rather I'm just stating an observation at this current state and moment of what I researched to find. I'm totally open to hearing of other comparable luxury divers selling for roughly $2,800 plus or minus.
Subscribe if you are new. Like and share. Comment civilly, keeping an open mind, and let's respectfully discuss.
Peace over everything!

By the way I see you have a Helm Khuraburi , i’ve been on Helms waitlist the last couple years and I’m two occasions. I have had the opportunity to get the Khuraburi and didn’t pull the trigger , I’ve never heard anything but good about Helm so in your opinion totally worth it?

I do like the Khuraburi! I just find that I am always reaching for one of my two SLA Seiko divers and I've not given the Khuraburi the wrist time that it very well deserves!

Totally agree on the bracelet , the 073 bracelet is amazing , I’m actually thinking about ordering 2 bracelets for my MM300s as my AD says it will fit and is far better looking than stock MM bracelet

Man I would love to have the mm300! Which model do you have. My AD was sold out of those. I wanted one bad! Yeah I read that I believe a couple grand seiko bracelets will fit the mm300. Man I would love to see your with a new and upgraded bracelet! This bracelet is nice but overpriced. It doesn't have the same on the fly divers extension like it absolutely should have for what Seiko has it priced at. Thanks for the cool comment. Keep in touch brother!

@@TheDiveWatcher I’ve had 6 MM300s over the years and currently have three , SLA059 Red Dial , 023 Blue Dial and O21 Black dial , I resisted getting an MM for years but everyone is right when you hold one you totally get it , it’s on another level maybe a little on the thick side but wears amazing , I like a little larger watch but not too crazy , I also have the Planet Ocean, Pelagos LHD , Tudor Root Beer and Panda Sea Dweller 43 and Deepsea which is really thick! And the older 2015 model Superocean and avenger Seawolf ( another chunker) also a great wearing watch , but my daily is usually my Red MM because it matches my F150 (Hot Pepper ) my wife wishes I would get a drug habit as it would probably be cheaper ! Keep up the videos I’m enjoying watching them!

@chollister08 wow brother what an awesome lineup! Breitling at one time was my number one go brand. One big reason being that I had a local Bling AD and man I bought a new Bling every other week! At one time I had a lot of really cool highly collectable Breitling items they had sent out to me. I spent way too much and I also only bought brand new but I was a crazy serial flipper. Thrill of the constant hunt. Chromomats. Blackbirds. Chrono Avengers. Avengers. Limited edition B01s. All of those then sell and then repeat the process lol! Man 6 mm300! You said you have 3 right now? Yeah I think you would like and enjoy picking up those two different style mm300 bracelets to change the look up which a bracelet can do that quite well. I love a nice well made thick and well balanced bracelet. Your Sea Dweller was definitely a great investment. I had so many opportunities to buy Rolex but I just could never warm up to anything in their lineup. I for one day briefly bought a Rolex Daytona but ended up returning it because it was too small at 40mm and didn't have a date window. Should have kept strictly for the later monetary return it would have brought me. Back then I was young and wasted a ton of money. Would love to just have a 4th of it back. I'd be a fairly wealthy man today at 48 going on 49 lol. Thanks for the cool kind words brother! They mean a ton to me because i do get steady hate. Nearly to the point that I had just recently shut my channel down. I had about 100 videos but decided to bring back only a select few. I'm not sure if I'll continue. I'd like to and especially when guys like yourself leave cool comments. I appreciate it man!

Don’t listen to the idiots , keep doing what you’re doing , it’s refreshing to watch someone who isn’t a corporate shill . Most of these guys probably couldn’t afford a G Shock which buy the way is an absolute necessity for any real watch guy . Were the same age and it took me years to amass my collection but I’m pretty frugal in most other respects except maybe cars! In fact I’m heading into Naples today to take a peek at some new watches being Father’s Day might have to treat myself

Man you and I are the same! Back when I had my highly successful practice, my two major weaknesses were high end dive watches and buying two to three vehicles a year. I seriously wasted so much money! I took a break from work and thinking about going back at it soon. Back when I had my appraisal practice, I bought before I thought. Vehicles and watches. I'm embarrassed to even say how many vehicles I have had owned over the years. Where I messed up was I became highly successful at an early age in life and my motivation was not the money but rather being brilliant at what I did. Money was just a perk of becoming the best. However, whilst I vividly recall the sheer amount of hands I generously gave to and helped that took advantage of me, at the same time I didn't mind spending on myself when it came to vehicles and high end dive watches. I can say I had a blast! These days my life is very humble due to learning the hard way! Back then I knew it all! Lol! Today at 48 and 49 this October with Grey hair brought me a little wisdom. If I go back to work, I have two or three vehicles I'm dying to get and do my thing to them which is to customize them in accordance to my vision. What types of cars do you like? Man that's good stuff brother. I'm excited for you! Keep me updated so I can live vicariously through you until I go back to the grind! I have had a variety of all types of different vehicles. SUVs. Trucks. Sports cars. Lots of all three! Too many! Which watch do you have your eye on right now? Happy father's day man!

No! Seiko are vastly overpriced and seriously overrated! They are taking the 'heritage' element seriously that deluded seiko fans have convinced themselves actually means anything. They're pitting themselves price wise against the likes of Hamilton, Tissot, Christopher Ward right up to entering Longines area. Seiko needs to know their true place within the watch world, drop their prices by two thirds or at the very least a half and stay their unless they are prepared to greatly improve the quality of materials, finishing and quality control (some of the misalignment that actually makes it to sale is disgusting).

I fully respect your comment and I would agree to a certain literal level of degree. You aren't typically if ever at all are going to see any quality control issues with Seiko SLA models and up...next being SNR and then Grand Seiko. I would encourage you to in person directly handle and closely compare Seiko SPB and SLA models and you will in fact factually notice quite a large quality of fit, finish, quality build, and movements that are equal to but that are on a whole a step above the Swiss ETA movements. Simply the 8L35 is in itself superior to the ETA 2824. It should be noted that Seiko is a brand that offers a full variety from entry level divers to literally the best divers in the world. So I agree with you if I have a Seiko SRP or an entry level SPB but if you have not, find a Seiko AD and an Omega AD and take a SLA Diver directly in your hand and then an Omega Seamaster directly in your hand and then closely and objectively compare the two externally and internally to find that your blanket NO comment to be right and wrong to a certain level of degree....SLA and higher level are luxury high end with no quality control issues with majority being hand finished in the Grand Seiko Studios and housing Grand Seiko 8L35 movements and the SNR level housing Grand Seiko Spring Drive movements. SPB and SRP Seiko level of degree, yes you will factually find some occasional quality control issues and those house a inferior movement to the Swiss ETA but they largely have twice the power reserve. Your comment is blanket and thus cannot be factually substantiated. Respectfully.

Well I have found and in my experience with high end luxury Seiko such as the SLA series level and up that Seiko states minus 15 to plus 25 seconds but and however, the 8L35 in most of the higher end SLA models are in fact sand assembled and regulated in the grand seiko studios and as a result the 8L35 will typically keep COSC time per day. Haven said that, I agree with you that Seiko very well should have their own version of COSC type accuracy regulations attached to their higher end luxury movements. Whether their regulated stated Professional Japan accuracy implementation to be plus 5 to minus 5 seconds or tighter or even plus 7 to minus 3 but whatever it maybe Seiko absolutely should have something similar or equivalent to COSC. I totally agree. Seiko is taking the easy way out there. Even though as whole their 8L35 9 times out of 10 is going to have a tolerance equal that to COSC standards. In fact I think that's coming and I think that their hands will be forced to also step up to screw links on their higher end bracelets as well. An official tolerance standard and no more nightmare terrible pin and collar bracelets will be two things Seiko will have no choice to bring to life if in fact they are planning on competing with the likes Omega as such. I fully agree! I have even called Seiko out in my videos if you have a moment to catch some of my other uploads on the SLA series and behind the scenes which I'm pretty sure Seiko USA doesn't like me because I have repeatedly tagged them on posts I've made through Twitter, Instagram, and TikTok, directly tagged their direct handle with some very harsh bold statements stating or telling Seiko the truth about where they need to improve and the reason I know they dislike me, two reasons. One, Seiko gets offended because they know what I say in my posts is the literal truth that they don't like. Two, I just made a recent Instagram post with the SLA075 that praised the piece but however that it should have come on the bracelet and that was the way my photo showed it. I tagged Seiko and a few mins later I receive a message from worthless Instagram stating my post was removed and gave me a warning stating I violated their dumb ass woke community rules which I did not. It was Seiko's childish ass who couldn't handle the truth of my post that filed and sent in their childish complaint that made shifty Instagram take down my post lol. I'm a seiko fan but I'm still all about the truth. So I turned right back around and made the same post same photo said the same thing but I didn't tag seiko childish ass and the post wasn't removed then. Yes indeed Seiko's ass has no choice but to step their game up in specific areas and that is if they plan to keep this path of their steady price inflation. They want to compete then step up their bracelets and set an official Japan world time accuracy tolerance that mandates by guaranteeing a per second a day range even if their 8L35 movements already give it.
