Great review. Thank you as always Armin! :) It is so gratifying to see you, immediately, pick up on the mechanics/dynamics intended for the ring. It really is very different from many of the other ring styles out there, but is such a great shooter. Definitely one of our favorites for sure. :D

I bought three and have been using them for a couple of months. These are fantastic. I can draw even the heavier bows with this ring. I am glad I bought three as my thumb really changes size from one time to the next. The weather is a factor, but also wearing the ring for awhile does change my thumb size. Unlike other rings I bought, this ring really holds the string.

Great review. On the strength of your review, I bought two of their Chinese Spur rings and I love them. Between the two sizes I bought and the little leather inserts I got with them, I always get a comfortable fit.

I have been shooting with it for a few months. I loved it from the very first time I put it on. (I ordered the thumbing kit with "all" their rings.) I pretty much only shot with the Gao Ying and Manchu. Bother are excellent but the Gao Ying is by far my favorite.

I have a set of these rings and I made one for myself out of wood. Probably my favorite style and lock. One thing I have noticed though is that you cannot really keep your wrist nice and straight as you can with other rings. Doesn’t bother me though.

Just finished my fourth ring. Seems to be right. Now do you press your index finger down onto your thumb? And does the middle finger have to press the string into the groove? Thanks

yes shollow draw is much more comforter than deep

When you say you lock your thumb on your middle finger, do you press the whole thumb joint or with tip of your thumb on your middle finger?

So this is similar to the alibow shallow hook, in that the thumb doesn't have to bend as much

Hum, find the good thumb ring is really a quest : how to find confort, quick release and safety? I. tried Chinese, Manchu and Hybrid from Custom Thumb Ring but the pain remains. With my new Victory from Vermil, It is better but not perfect after I shoot during an hour. Maybe a new one? 😅😅😅
