I could’ve been a legend in the last season but I lost all interests in the game completely. The fact that I can’t play with any of my buddies cause they don’t want to pay the scalper’s price for next gen has been a downfall imo. I’ve joined groups to get in rec games but the toxicity of those people are unmatched 🤣. You can NEVER get a complete squad without having a sellout.

The fact that 2k20’s servers down is actually crazy when you think about. A game that was released in 2019 isn’t available for online play anymore. Hasn’t even been 3 whole years

2k22 is 100% unplayable without friends, i got to level 36 but i cant even play the game to hit level 40 without my friends being with me and even when they are it still sucks

Only thing I hate about 2K22 is 1 the amount of VC it takes to make one build. I made a 2 way inside out play maker, it's going to cost 275k VC to get him to a 90 that means over 300k for 99 not including the cost of animations. I could've made 2 or 3 builds back in 2015 or 16 for the cost of one today. 2 I mainly play on my paint beast i have a 99 close shot but if I'm close to the rim and go up on a guard without hitting a drop step its bouncing off the rim 100% of the time or I'll get a weird animation throw the ball up all crazy and it bounces off the rim. But a guard can go up consistently with dunks and lays making them on my 7'3 99 interior defense and HoF intimidator.

2k should focus on 1 game across both gens instead of 2, all their time and energy could make one great basketball game and everything would be easier they can still provide quality and profit off that in many ways but they choose not to prioritize the art or fun of the game like other companies did in the past

People can kill flame me or kill me all they want in the comment section but the content creators have to take some responsibility for what has happened with the franchise and it's current state. I mean if the RU-vidrs, Twitch streamers, etc. just anyone associated with making content about 2k would stop constantly reminiscing about the older games and how they were "so much better", even though looking back creators were still complaining about those games in the moment. Once the top people in the community constantly complain and downplay a game every single year it becomes the trend and the large followings that they have begin to develop that same mindset. Look we all know the game isn't perfect and believe me we all know there is a lot to fix but the game is what the game is and if the creators want the community to buzz again and the game it's self to become fun again then they have to do their absolute best to just do that. Make it fun, do wagers, come up with creative video ideas and just play the game. Like you get paid to play video games lol there are people out here who actually have tough jobs, bad jobs, shit, jobs that just flat out suck and they wish all they had to do was play video games all day for a living lol like come on y'all.

Honestly, I hate how 2k was talking so much about how every season, we travel to brand new island and it would become the park for the season or whatever but Instead, we got some weak ass event like treasure hunters which didn’t have remotely enough courts for like a day or 2 and it was back to the same reskinned courts on that boat, each season felt basically the same after season 2 and in games like that k20, we would have beats by night and events like that which made the entire park look and feel brand new and awesome but now they just reskin the courts and add some random as object on it and make it the park for the rest of the season

2k22 next gen is a great game. If you play it for 5 days straight just to hit 40 your most likely going to get bored. If you just play it a few hours a day it’s a great experience. The people that are complaining are the type of person to complain about everything & anything. The 2k community is still toxic asf tho. I run into internet gangsters everyday.

I'm still playing and enjoying the game. I play Xbox next gen. I know the issues. I play for fun, and most times...I actually have fun. I've been playing since the original 2k for dreamcast. Some have been better than others, some have sucked. If you take the game for what it is you might just enjoy it. I can see why a lot of people don't like it tho. And that's cool too.

I’ll always cherish the memories of smacking power df and grinding df in 2k18 and 19 but besides agents videos, this game and community might as well be done until a worthy competitor rises from the ashes.

The problem with 2k is everyone wants to play the 2 man pick and roll 🙄 and shoot 3's over and over, and over, and over no matter what's going on. Left right, left right shoot! The "shooters" in the community needs to start putting more respect on us slashers. #majikrodmun

Besides the micro-transactions and the fact that people can shoot with a 50 three ball, I think this 2k is great, nd I've been playing 2ks since 2k14🤷‍♂️. I think people aren't having fun anymore cuz they r getting too sweaty. They tryna make "demigod" builds cuz they see all these pros making them, and when they can't do the same thing they watch the pros do with these builds, they get discouraged. People forgetting the point of video games is to HAVE FUN

They should just make the game free to play since all they wanna do is sell VC anyway,just update the game like Warzone and add new parks events clothes etc.,it makes more sense making it free to play

I slowly stopped playing 2k next gen because of 2 main reasons. Reason 1 - MyCareer got boring real fast. Reason 2 - The only time I ever play 2k is with my brother and we play MyNBA, and the only time we play it is when it doesn't lag one of us out with "There's a problem with your connection to our servers".

I like this year. I don’t play city/park anymore tho because it hasn’t been fun since 20. I am strictly Pro-am and rec only but the gameplay is really fun and pretty balanced as far as a 2k game goes. 🤷🏾‍♂️

I feel like it’s a big difference between dlc and micro transactions a dlc give you access to more missions, weapons, vehicles, and more but micro transactions are like going to a casino and exchanging cash for poker chips

The sold copies/ downloads whatever also take into account people like me who played a few seasons and got mad about something(rep rewards) (legend.) and stopped playing all together

Personally I enjoy the game sure it’s not perfect but I enjoy the gameplay

Isc if your money up, these prices on vc after you buy a 70 $ game is crazyyyy. Maybe lower the prices that way people wanna buy vc aint no one wanna pay 50 every build they make just to get to 85 ovr. Then gotts grind badges in my career. Aint no one wanna play mycareer . Make other ways to earn badges maybe a pracric quart that givez 2-3x badge points. That way people will be like "oh i dont mind spending some money for some nice clothing" . Itsnjust 2k got the community fucked up tryna charge us almost the same price of the game for some vc. Ive always been one too grind out mycareer but ima admit shit gets boring fast.

If people actually played basketball and stopped trying these dumb meta builds, the game would be more fun. But nope, 90 percent of people camp the 3 at the corner, pick n roll and that’s it. No post game, no screens for shooters, no give and go, no cutting, no movement, no passing because everyone tries to dribble god it and waste 14 seconds on the clock and then blame you somehow, mainly cause they see Curry do it and you tubers do it. Current gen could have been one of the best 2ks ever but they had to ruin the game by making paint defense dogshit, and by nerfing passing lane steals like just why? no one ever complained about that, left right isnt as broken as it was in 21 the only real problem I see is how weak the defense is this year, badges like limitless takeoff ruin the game and make the skill gap worst

If 2k had crossplay between current gen and then crossplay between next gen separately that would solve a lot of issues on finding good people to play with you

This 2k Straight man it’s the people that take advantage of the game mechanics and the randoms it’s not the game it’s the people lol and low key a lot of people still play the game the exact same way they have been playing for years

Played park in season 1 and 2 then stopped playing for the past few months. Just got back into recently and have mainly been playing pro am instead, definitely a better experience.

My thoughts, 2k should separate park/city/Pro-Am or whatever from MyCareer. For the online modes, there's more restriction on builds so not everyone can be a demigod and playing a role becomes more important. This way 2k can also keep microtransactions, but only for the online "build," clothing, accessories, and so forth. Make MyCareer completely independent where microtransactions are non existent, and limitations on builds are more lenient, that way players can have there demigod and whatnot. Furthermore, 2k could then release the park/online stuff as free to play, and if you want to play my league, MyCareer, quick games, etc. There's your base game price. Personally I think this would work well and 2k could focus more on gameplay for park and story for MyCareer as independent entities rather than being forced together.

I ain't gone lie, 2K22 on current-gen is probably the first time since 2K17 where i find myself actually playing 2K and having an alright time. When you just mindlessly play and not complain about the game it's really not that bad tbh. I'll run a Rec game every now and then on my off days and that'll be that. I realized if I play 2K in small windows I don't notice a lot of the flaws in the game vs how I used to play for hours and hours doing the same shit. Hard not to notice the BS after your 20th game of Rec of the day lol

If park was ranked or there was a ranked mode meaning you could only play people close to your overall and win percentage and all you sweats could only play other sweats you would hate the game.

I can't stand how they made the physics of the game even faker now. The game looks and feels way worse than 21. Not to mention how stupid and dramatic the defense is now. I'm glad it's harder to play offense, but every single player shouldn't be guarding me like Kawhi, and literally glued to me. It looks so dumb.

To be honest new people may like this game more. To me, it's more of the same. Glitchy Center and PG builds EVERYWHERE on offense. Clamps doesnt work this year. Paint shots either get blocked or are 0% covered despite a man being there or even slapping their arms. Overpowered passing lane steals for the millionth year in a row (I average 5 steals a game in rec and that's stupid and unrealistic). Just way too many problems on both defense and offense for this to be a consistently enjoyable experience.

2k has the same problem that many other competitive online games have. How do you make a game that is enjoyable for people who play 5 hours a week and people who play 50 hours a week. Short answer is-- you can't. The skills gap is so monstrous that you cannot close it without completely ruining the game for sweats and if you don't close it then you will lose casual gamers who don't want to lose 90% of the time. It's been a problem for years and I have yet to see any game solve it.

I grinded my myplayer to 97 w/ no VC purchases and I had an aweful experience, once I got to 88 ovr I felt like I was just spinning my wheels because 1 attribute upgrade cost 3-4K. Not to mention the glitched version of my build is astronomically better so fuck me right but all in all 2k22 next gen has been a huge kick in the balls and I ain’t buying 23
