I picked one up a few months back and I genuinely love it. It would be hard to switch back to a full size keyboard after this thing. Obviously for gaming it wouldn't be perfect but for literally anything else you can think of, it kicks ass. The scroll wheel is fantastic, the keys have great feedback, it will last up to 3 or 4 days on a charge cycle, it supports a huge amount of devices and its really the perfect size and fits comfortably in your hands. I haven't had any complaints about it since I got mine.
@@MrArjunchoudhary Webpage browsing is nice, scrolling through RU-vid and Netflix feels good with the wheel. Sometimes I connect it to my ipad for typing shit up, and that works nicely. I've used it on a few emulators just out of curiosity and it worked pretty well. It'll work for pretty much whatever you use an average keyboard for other than hardcore PC gaming like I said. Hopefully you'll like it, man.
@@beefcrevice I think I will I'm not a hardcore techy at all I was just having problems navigating the web browser on my Samsung tv I got. They give you the "SmartThings" app to download as a remote on your phone but the trackpad is trash and the buttons barely register. So got this to web browser and for Netflix I guess. Thanks for the reply!
Talked me into it. $30 psht, might as well. Using an older i7 8700 pc as a living room "tv/pc" box, and this is probably a better option than the logitech pc/touchpad I currently use. I just want something smaller, and fairly decent. This should do.
I have 2 Rii minis of an older version and I cant stand them as they constantly disconnect while typing or trying to use the mouse pad, does this model do the same? I have also read this model has poor battery life from the get go and gets worse fairly quickly
Thanks for the followup review i ordered it for my new samsung smart tv i hope it works on it and if not it's not a bad type of tech having laying around if needed.
I have a few X8's and every damn one of them can't stay connected anymore. I could be 3 feet away and it won't stay connected. The dongles suck ballsack. Considering this specifically for Bluetooth.
for me its actually the reverse. the dongle works better for me then the BT. i got this so i can sit on my couch when i have my pc on my tv and BT gets real laggy around 8 feet. when im in front of my comp it works fine though. i love the keyboard otherwise thanks for the review
I just bought one and received it today. I got it for my Nvidia shield pro 2019 model. Is there a built-in microphone that I see at the bottom of the keyboard? If so what key do I press to use it on the Nvidia shield pro?
Cool moments : 00:22, 04:28, 05:56, 06:23, 06:41, and 08:38. How does this compare to the Riitek Rii i8 Plus Multi-Touch Bluetooth keyboard? Can this keyboard wake the device that it was connected to last? *_*EDIT*_* : I just found out at the Rii Store page of the Rii i8+ Multi-Touch Bluetooth over at Amazon, the following : "There is a newer version of this item: (2019 Upgrade) Rii i4 Mini Bluetooth Keyboard with Touchpad". I might replace my i8+.
What's up Robert! Yes it can wake the last attached device. I looked at getting the i8 but this one does it for me and I haven't had a need need or want to replace it lol
can i hook this up on my shield tube because there is no usb port only bluetooth so i wont be able to plug the dongle...Thanks because i know the previous version of this mini keyboard all way to connect was via dongle
Got my Rii i4 a month ago and loved it...until a few days ago the touchpad stopped working on bluetooth and 2.4g usb dongle. Powering the i4 off then on allows the touchpad to work only about 5 seconds then stops working. Any suggestion to fix this problem? Thx.
I don't know if you're still having that problem, but if so... I know with the Rii 8 the battery is a 5V and chargers are usually 7, so using the wrong charger can, sometimes, mess it up. You might want to check your battery charger and make sure you're not over-powering it. I hope this helps.
bought a cheap one 4$,but they suck ballz, standby times are too short, the backlight is too strong and blinks every time it starts, even if shut down the back light... after the standby will come on again, garbage. But this looks nice , just ordered one.
Could of shown us (well me) how to do the bluetooth, now I am having to go look, how to. By the way I am typing this on i4, just got it and I likey a lot
@@vdoestech Nice. I just got one yesterday from Amazon. So far so good. Feels pretty sturdy and seems reliable. I did have it disconnect once on me though while using it in windows 10 for a brief moment, only once. Has that ever happened to you? I had it connected through bluetooth. It took 3 and a half hours to fully charge with the battery at 0% charge. I charged it with the included USB cable and my laptop.
I sold my computer about a year ago so I keep it connected to my nvidia shield or my tab s7 for dex mode so haven't used it in windows for about a year now
Thank you. I figured it out a few minutes ago. I knew it was something simple but it was driving me crazy. Lol. It was useless for me without the backlight. Thank you. Have a great week!!!
The only thing i didn't like about this keyboard is that it runs on frigin stupid built in battery. How difficult is it for those device makers to simply design their devices to be used with one or two AA batteries. That would make things whole lot more convenient.
