Rik Emmett of Triumph appears on the Easter Seals telethon called "Superthon '88". This aired on CBC on March 5th, 1988.
These clips are as they were given to me on VHS years ago from the recorder. They caught Rik on a couple of occasions (introducing the Byrds), and then thankfully caught his full performance of Hold On. This was just a few months before Rik went solo from Triumph.

I have never seen this before. That was a great solo rendition of Triumph's "Hold On" by Rik Emmet sans Levine and Moore. Rik's vocals were fresh and powerful. You can feel the positive message in the song. He stepped up playing playing for a charitable cause. Thanks for sharing

Wow. I remember watching this as a 13 year old in the Sudbury area. He performed here solo many times at the Grand Theatre during this era.

phenomenal true to his colors , great work by rik as usual !!! just a little hint to rik maybe you and cyndi should do a little tune together !! work something out . .. would be fantastic.
