I've always considered the tracks made for Dwarf Fortress by Simon Swerwer to be the best fan-made OST, but this one is right up there. I only just installed it, I'll have to listen more before I can decide between the two. Both are fantastic work.

I know this may sound silly, but to me this work and mod is a prime example of what it means to make it in life. This soundtrack is: - Completely free; made for the enjoyment of others - A homage to another great work (Rimworld) that manages to stay true to it - Excellent in and of itself I don't have much creative energy in me but I'd be damn proud to make some piece of art like this in my lifetime.

2:35:20 I remember this song playing after my tribe had abandoned their colony to make their way to the landed ship. Maybe that's why it makes me think of adventure and new beginnings. The ship on that save file had landed on the ice sheet and the journey there was 46 days long, so it was quite an expedition, but all 10 of my tribespeople made it safe and sound, and with the help of our psycasters, we held off the mechs long enough to escape. The only casualties were a tamed megaspider who already had severe brain damage and a bonded warg for whom I had to install a mod just to bring with us. So far that's the only time I've won a game with Ship to the Stars, and every time I hear this song it makes me think of that game, the journey we had, and the 1500 packaged survival meals we brought with us.

Over the years, Rimworld has brought me much joy. From the realisation that "To serve man" was, indeed, a cook book, to experiencing the opulence of the nobility, and the joys of ritual sacrifice, and now the wholesome feeling you get from eugenics. And along this wild journey to the peaks of humanity, P-music has been a steady and welcome companion. Thank you.

I don't know if you still read/respond to comments, but if you see this I just wanted to say that this is genuinely the best mod for RimWorld ever. I'm even going to go as far as to say that it surpasses the original soundtrack as I've been using this over the OG ost. of the game for months now. And the fact that this was made as a mod for a game is incredible too. I love this soundtrack and I'm grateful for it. Thank you. I hope you get to see the success you deserve my friend. Cheers.

Had this mod for so long and never took it out of my modlist for so long that I don't even recognise it as a mod. An essential part of Rimworld, even going as far when I think of Rimworld music I think of this mod forgetting that it was even a mod. I get nostalgia trips when I listen to Tough Life and Move Away.

One of the greatest soundtracks ever composed. The authenticity and thematic coherence of these pieces with the overall feel and tone of the game is truly amazing. This soundtrack really does embody 'Rimworld', from the melancholy notes of 'Tough Life', the peaceful melody of 'Sunlight', to the struggle and desperation of 'Final Stand '. Legacy (01:54:51), back in the saddle (02:09:00) and valiant (02:27:18) are my favorite. I just got a +15 mood buff for the next 24 hours and even an inspiration thanks to these 2 master piece. I'm so happy I even ate without a table and don't care.

Far Away is so damn good. It hits so hard after having gone through a major event, where you lost a colonist or part of your base because of an attack or disaster. It just feels so sad and hopeful at the same time.

Holy shit, i had just been listening to the 2021 version for a while on loop and i loved it. but a couple weeks later, i realized there's a 2022 version with 40+ MORE MINUTES OF CONTENT! HELL YES THANK YOU! At first i thought p-music meant "piano" music and it was just a piano cover, but i loved rimworld music so much i thought id try it. I came in with low expectations and was BLOWN AWAY with all this original music made to SOUND like the original! Again, i love your music. this is great. thanks for doing this.

I know you made this for Rimworld but I've been listening to this almost everyday and it goes with everything. Sometimes I feel like a colonist, alone, building a life for myself out of nothing. Was playing Rimworld, heavily modded, was having a good day, then one of those creatures from the V.O.I.D factions busts through my Storage dome, just one, a massacre happens, 5 people in critical shape, and one dead, we kill the thing. When we start having a funeral, and the song Never Forgotten starts playing, rest in peace Canbi, you'll be missed, and the war against V.O.I.D is on

Kinda funny story. During the last months of my wifes pregnancy I was playing Rimworld a lot and P-Music is always installed ofc. Whenever I play Rimworld now 2 years later and she hears this music... she gets pregnancy flashbacks haha edit: Also Valiant... Fantastic.

I've only listened to the first song so far, and it's made me consider buying the game when I otherwise much prefer DF :P Of course I realised I can just put this on while playing DF (or whatever else), but kudos for being the best advertisement for Rimworld I've come across yet. Same thing happened to me just as another commentor here. I had subbed this mod for soooo long, that I thought have either not subbed the mod, or it its not working for latest version, as I am unable to listen to anything that sounds remotely 'un-rimworldy'. I thought all soundtracks I have in game are originals, it bugged me crazy. I logged into my years old soundcloud to find all tracks there are what I usually listen. I was confused, are these actually game OST that I thought were fan-made? I was really confused, then I went to steam subbed mods to realize, no.... This man here is a legend, making us believe his fan-made OST are actually game OST. +1 mah dude Edit: Now I think, rimworld will not be rimworld if I unsub this OST Mod

Incredible stuf man!! Mind blowing to me that this is provided free of charge in a mod to a game I dearly love. If you don’t mind me asking: Did you write / produce all the tracks by yourself? Do you play all these instruments or did you use any VSTs?

Thanks! I don't mind answering questions. Most of the tracks were written and produced by myself, with a few exceptions. United is a mashup and the guitar parts in Honor, Cruel World and The Fallen were done by my friend ZumZum. Most instruments are VST, with a few exceptions as well. I go into more detail on how I produce my music in my livestream videos.

I knew this soundtrack from 2021 and still listening to this till this day, but i just discovered it has its own youtube(and i glad youtube recommend it to me) , i remember one of my playthrough along with this mod which basically is 1 super soldier colony with another mods, after 7 years with 3 billion wealth (Using Vanilla Trading Expansion Mod) , i get raided by VOID mod and Kraltech Industry mod with 200+ raider. It is so laggy that i decided to cut majority of Raid using Dev Mode, so it were just 75 raider with unfathomably stats (2000% blunt armor, etc), then i sent my pawn to fight them all, took me 8 hours just to kill 50 of them. This fight along with Red Code song 39:09 music is one of the most intense moment of all time for me. im sooo gladd i can listen to this masterpiece, really changed my perspective of video game soundtrack. Rimworld would never be the same without P-Music (2)

Hands down a mod that you should never play without, if you like Rimworld. This mod is so primordial as the game itself. No great experiences can happen without great ambient music.

the only correct way too do this is too listen too a little bit of each song, then find your favorite and put each in its own tab. i have 15+ tabs of youtube open, about half are from here.

I loved the song "One Can Dream To Fly", the best one that gets too deep into the game, it's as if this sound explained the entire game from start to finish in a single symphony.
