Actually I dont believe that a rat is capable of that amount of intelligence and even if it was, it would be merely impossible for the rat to complete that trick that quick, especially without getting noticed.

That sweet lady needs an award for being so sweet and agreeable . She was so patient with him when he dropped her ring in the grate. She just oozed a sweet and kind spirit.
When he takes her ring, he drops a fake one down the drain. Then there's a fake one in the bottle, when he breaks the bottle he just gets the real ring instead and pretends to pick up the one in the bottle
For all people saying this was easy trick, yes it was.. But knowing the trick is only half the performance, pull it in front of crowd and on the street, that's what makes him so good..
I think this is the only time I've seen David having a hard time holding his poker face lol, has a slight smile multiple times after he drops the ring.
Great trick, except for the fact the video cuts so you don't see him actually drop the ring from his hand into the sewer. The ring in the bottle is staged with some other ring pre-inserted inside; the glass does not shatter, but merely breaks at the top where it was glued back together. Blaine keeps the woman's ring on his person, and then swaps hers for the staged ring in the bottle at some stage after he throws the bottle on the ground.

I think he actually does drop the real ring. An assistant down there picks it up, hurries up, puts the ring in the bottle, and steathily puts it into that position while everyone is distracted.

It would be funny if they’ve been tracking her and a friend of hers saw the ring and they bought another one with the same engravings and they switched it, so she takes it off and the magician drops the fake one in the sewer but hers is actually already in the bottle where they had to the magic trick at that specific spot. Haha lol

Here's the real secret.. he always has a plant with him.. one person in the crowd actually works for him.. they do a hand off. That person is usually also a great pick picket and can slip a card into your picket or even switch cards you are holding while David distracts you
He dropped another ring, passed the original one over to someone working with him. This person put it in the bottle. How he made it fit in the bottle is a separate analysis.
+Kae Pugna Even without the actress, it can be done with 3 rings. The original was taken from the lady, and he held into it, then he switched it before dropping the fake ring in the drain. The 3rd was placed in the bottle. When he broke the botte, he switch it again while taking it out from the broken bottle with the original 1. Original ring 2. Dropped ring 3. Bottled ring The original ring never left his hand. As simple as it seems. Hiding it from the crowd/camera was the most impressive.
But in the beginning you can see in 1 continuous shot, him taking the ring from the lady and dropping it. Also how did he get the ring in a bottle when it doesn't fit through the neck of the bottle, also, he asks the lady is this your ring with the engraving and she says yes. You can also see the engraving in the video.
The best trick it is the trip to the magic world of childhood again, people can't believe their eyes, indeed something magical happened there! This is just all around great!
Actually, Noraj De Ton Sodomisage makes a good point. The lady was able to inspect the ring while it was still in the bottle and saw the writing on the ring. I think she would know if it wasn't really her ring.
Jeff O first there is no way she could read an engraving through the glass while he was turning it. Besides Blaine uses camera tricks and stooges all the time
1:19 he said "I'm gonna get that pole" meaning he knows that a pole is placed there so he was there before and then later on he said "has anyone been here?" but he already knew the pole was there so he has been there before

I think he dropped a fake one, had the real one somewhere then picked up the bottle and slipped it in with sleight of hand. But that's what I think at least :/
The ring in the bottle is fake also: he dropped a fake one in the grate, went and smashed the bottle, picked up the other fake one, then just swapped it with the real one.
@@cancer4396 That would only be plausible if he knew what the ring liked like. Clearly, he has no way of knowing that so another explanation has to exisit.
1. The ring that fell into the drain wasn't the woman's ring. 2. The ring found in the bottle wasn't the woman's ring. 3. Woman's ring was with him from the moment she first took it off until he handed it back.
