David doesn't respect blatant fact acts used by TV when David is more of an entertainer and hardcore stuntman. I don't respect Chris' magic either because I know which is fake. David expects you to know his are fake but skilled. Chris is VERY skilled too but not on davids level.
@@CraigMelton-jv6tc sheesh dude. It probably the most important part of his life. Not surprising that everything he says or does revolves around it. It’s a positive, even if it’s done egotistically. Spreading awareness and collecting money for kids with cancer is a good thing dawg
Well he sounds like he’s struggling to talk. His voice sounds bad. And that’s why I can’t watch it anytime, just happened to see this short and clicked on it. I struggle to listen to him.
The beef between the two is that Blaine had his first TV special and that blew up, but TV executives decided to give Criss his own show instead and he became quite famous, on the other side Blaine wanted to be different so he started doing body endurance stunts instead
Interesting. Blaine's special was amazing AF. I always thought he was a better magician than Criss Angel tbh. I feel like Cris Angel's tricks are all about the TV camera filming a certain way, but David Blaine's shit is so simple, but it blows your mind.
@@jimd4322I totally agree. 2bh I never like Chris Angels magic bullshit. Its all so stupid like disappearing acts. Blaine is great with card tricks and his interactions with people and there reactions are the best.
Being a childhood cancer survivor myself I have so much respect for Criss and how much he supports childhood cancer warriors. I've been in remission from synovial sarcoma since 1997 and there hasn't been any new treatments specifically for kids. Just like myself, they're little bodies are given the strongest adult treatments and it takes a huge toll on your body. Even if the cancer is gone your body is damaged for life and I'm so thankful that this dude is bringing awareness. NEGU little warriors🎗💛💛CHRIST be with you!
Respect to you!! I beat Leukemia in 2021 after stem cell transplant and numerous treatments. I always thought about kids going through it and how tough they are because it was tough for me. You and kids are tough that have to deal with it or have. I’m thankful for the relationship with Jesus that I had that got stronger after my trial. God Bless!
@@coryryder9070 cris does all the same shit David did but only later 😂 😅 as he admitted in this . I’ll do it the same I’ll try to do it better side by side … he wants to try do same but “ cleaner” is how it seems. He admits he was bitting all David’s stuff and “ David had target 🎯 on his head” cause he was famous from Street Magic 🪄 ahead of me and I wanted to be #1 smirk😅
I wonder if people genuinely like Criss Angel or think he's a joke? Everyone at school used to clown his Mindfreak show. Doesn't help that he comes off as a pretentious douche bag and dresses like Bret Michaels.
David Blaine seems like the kinda guy who doesn't have and doesn't want too many friends. I don't mean that in a bad way either. I'm kind of a loner myself and if someone came up to me talking about building a friendship i'd be kinda skeeved out. Glad your son is doin ok!
Yeah, Criss comes across as petty in this clip. If someone who I didn’t know tried to gift me with something wildly expensive, I’d be the one looking at them sideways, like “what does this person want from me? Why are they so aggressively trying to befriend me?”
totally man. angel trying to grandstand with his big "expensive" ring. you can see he worships money. David is deep. Angel totally lied about Uri Gellar and the million dollar prize. Uri Gellar was 5 seconds away from making Angel owe a million bucks. Gellar had his ass. aNGEL knows it too and still bullshits the world about it. lame.
@@yashnigam6 How did Blaine know it was expensive ? Blaine comes across as weird here, since he gave it away to someone else in front of the person who gave it to him? classless. Passive- aggressive maybe ?
@@ScoishVelociraptorMaloish27that’s how this dude makes money, worry about yourself and stop micromanaging someone else decisions. Shit is weird as hell how you think what he did is gonna affect anything in real life besides your ego
@@Signal_in_the_noise Yes this is a clip, but the full episode was titled something like Chris Angel breaks his Silence on David Blane. It was a click bait title to get hits on both their names. See the description of this video for a link.
Having a close relative with cancer or any disease is extremely humbling. My brother who just passed at 53 had hydrocephalus/spina bifida which eventually led to kidney disease. I can't say I know how Criss feels but for myself it's like your mind is always walking on fragile ice that could easily break. And It will swallow you up if you let it. I try now to stay away from that fragile part of the frozen lake and go to the side where there are good memories, ice skating, fun and laughter.
@@jamesgarland8322 yep. I especially hate how adults treat children as charity cases to make themselves look good. Yet they cannot respect kids as individuals when theyre healthy and happy.
@@danpats1no body ripped off anyone. Unless they directly stole an illusion. It's an entire genre of magic. They can innovate and build off what was left by generations prior. That's the whole point.
Till you go into that random shop in another country and they tell you your name nickname and your age and your first fap. Very personal. Very real. Chris doesn't know about that.
@@AaronD313he's the realest when it comes to magic and psychics not being real...and that's all that matters when we're talking about scammers...hate all you want, he calls out scammers, and good for him.
0:24 🎤 Chris Angel reflects on his competitive attitude towards David Blaine in the early 2000s, expressing a determination to outdo him in magic and succeed at any cost. 1:51 🔄 Despite past rivalry, Chris attempted to reconcile with David Blaine by offering him a valuable ring as a gesture of goodwill and friendship. 3:04 🤝 David Blaine's response to Chris's reconciliation attempt was dismissive and bizarre, declining the gift and avoiding a photo together, leaving Chris puzzled. 4:18 📵 Despite the attempt at reconciliation, Chris Angel acknowledges that there's no ongoing friendship with David Blaine, as evidenced by a lack of response to subsequent texts.
Good breakdown . Just remeber to not get too down on yourself if Chris does not take you up on your offer to allow him to "stick it anywhere" as he is married and does not swing that way .
I love Criss. He continues to inspire me through the years. I don't play music. I play magic. I really believe in magic and he is the best at what he does. Thank you for being a part of our lives.
is isn't a good ending for anything, I'm a fan of Jackass, but I would probably buy tshirts or something with the logo, not hot sauce or bttwipes, Steveo should rethink his strategy
@@chadwhitfield6946 He is talking about performative magic in front of an actual audience of strangers instead of a heavenly edited scene you shot with 30 paid extras 🙄
Dammnn you could see how emotional steve-o gets towards the end while Criss casually talks about how short life is😢 i hope his kid is still doing well, sending love to all the kids in pain❤
Hi Criss you probably don’t remember me…. I was a stage manager at Madison Square Garden circa 1997 for their Scare Garden!Halloween season Lyndon V Harris Productions… I also was working for Mark O’Brien Terror Maze productions I can remember at auditions / attractions MSG said NO to your act …. :( Fast forward a few years and you made it to National Television / Cable back then! Glad you continued to do what you love! So sorry to hear what you and your son / family had to go through so glad to hear He is still here with you !! 🙌🙏🫶🏻💗 🎉👍👍👍🙌 Thank You for your philanthropy for Children with Cancer 🙏🙌✌️🫶🏻💕
David Blaine is a real magician with actual talent , Chris is a bum that used actors for nothing more than camera tricks. Loved him as a kid watching mind freak and then grew up and realized
these types of comments are the most unoriginal i've seen. David blaine used actors too, off the top of my head I think of when he pulled the girls teeth out and then blew them back in... My point is it's all just entertainment, and to be so high and mighty like mindfreak is suddenly so trash when in your youth you loved it, bizarre to me.
when I was a kid it was pretty clear Criss Angel was worse at the craft than David Blaine, his stuff never had that "how the fuck..." factor that David Blaine regularly pulls off@@pedestrian_0
Damn, Chris brought some tears to my eyes. Great message and awesome interview. Can't imagine my kids going thru those hard times.. glad all is well with Criss.
I remember when I got my first iPod, my cousins brother in law would download music for me. And he downloaded clips of different Criss Angel illusions. I was able to meet Criss a few months ago at Anthony Pettis MMA card in Milwaukee. Criss was part of the group photos they did with other names. They rushed everyone through so it was like a second and then on to the next. I shook his hand and got into position for the photo. And then I gave him a awkward wave goodbye. But it was cool. Such a fun night and it was awesome to meet Yair Rodriguez there too. Anthony and Sergio Pettis are so chill and humble. They took time to photos with fans and really cool.
I lost my brother to osteosarcoma. He was 22. I understand Chris and his passion and the perspective hes talking about. Makes you realize how fragile life is
More like a flex and saying “I’m better than you” definitely a jab. You can hear it in his voice afterwards and then says how the guy harmed him some way. He definitely showed his bitterness.
Na, I digg em both tho but I can see both sides, Chris is maturing and blaine wasnt ready to let go cause Chris was on his head for YEARS..nice to see he apologized👍
Naw. It's called a peace offering. It's not like he cut him a check or stuffed some cash in his pocket. Although pulling off a ring and offering that as a gift is still kinda douchey
David Blaine and Criss Angel were my childhood and so was learning/performing street magic so I remember exactly what went down: When Criss Angel’s Mindfreak blew up, everyone was hooked (including me). If was fresh, cool and magic we’ve never seen on the streets. Ppl started jumping bandwagon from Blaine camp to Angel’s. However the moment I started to lose respect was when Angel would randomly attack Blaine in radio interviews, make fun of him, etc. Hence the “aggressiveness” that Angel so lightly put. He even dressed up as Blaine in an episode of Mindfreak and it was offensive imo. Mindfreak then became more about what motorcycles Angel owned and his mansions, etc and it was less about good magic so I stopped watching. The staged tricks were ridiculous and horrible. I don’t blame Blaine for not wanting a picture with him, at least he didn’t talk shit in return. Blaine’s always been the class act in all of this. P.S. Btw, Blaine invented street magic for television and inspired ppl like Criss Angel, Derren Brown, Cyril Takayama, Dynamo, etc….so who stole from who again?
this video is exactly what David was trying to avoid throughout the history of their interactions David could only bring Chris up... and still to this day Chris can only bring David down
Is it really "charitable" when he makes sure to let everyone know he does it and how good of a person he is for helping people? The dude does it 100% for the publicity of it and is phony as fuck.
I found David Blaine's assistant's cell phone in a booth at a club in Manhattan about 20 years ago, it was a blue Nokia 3310. We pranked Blaine like crazy for weeks until he finally changed his numbers. He would get so pissed and yell at us in his creepy David Blaine voice.
@pigwing22 that's a gesture of respect, if he wanted to give him a gift he would have wrapped something and put a Shiny red bow on it 🎀 . He was paying dues, but Blaine can't comprehend human gesture so 🤷
For real. I clicked on the video expecting to not like Criss Angel but he actually seems like a decent guy. Unless I’m missing something, it seems like most people in these comments are just upset that magic isn’t actually real.
Because he's not. He's a fucking copycat, liar, doesn't know how to apologize right, etc... He doesn't deserve respect. Hell, he lied about some things revolving around cancer. You cannot name 1 interview this guy has done that he told a complete truth.
This was my issue with his Vegas show. He spent the end of it talking about kids' cancer and giving a donation. I will catch hate for being took wrong, but I would rather the tickets cost more, and part go towards this cause or talk about it at the beginning of the show. So many people have dealt with and are dealing with the same thing and probably went to a show or Vegas to not hear about the saddest thing most of us could think of. I am so happy that he does all he does for the cause and am torn at times typing this but still think the delivery is wrong.
You are not wrong or an a-hole. This dude is just as bad of an attention who're as Steve O is. Except Steve knows and tries to work with that fact. Chris Angel is the type of guy who even when doing something good i.e. Cancer Charity, he does it in this horribly tacky way. Which explains it all. The whole style of his show was his idea. He's the tacky one. David Blaine is cool and real. This guy is all surface level. I hope the best for his kids. For real.
@riot_cats Tha ks for not being a troll like I'll get if more replys come this way. I felt like I typed too much as it was and just wanted it off my chest because I have talked about this several times and even very recent about my times in Vegas. I've been 11 times which is a lot too as many as it is nothing to but I still think most want an escape and not to hear possibly the saddest thing possible at the end of an expensive trip and show eetc etc.
@@Tayk1987 yeah, beyond what I was saying in my comment, you're absolutely right. ESPECIALLY being fuckin blindsided by it after a magic show 😂 All the middle age millennials and random older people who have no idea who this cringe fest of a guy is, and they see him do bad magic, then he talks about cancer. What a bummer 😂😂
This makes sense to me, and as someone who does community work and as a cancer survivor, I want to add that - I’m not accusing him of anything in pointing this out, but my experience with large platform fundraisers has taught me to look out for two major red flags - telling people how much you’ve raised and overstating how legitimately the donations are used. When people say “so many million raised and every cent goes to cancer treatment” instead of listing newly started programs, naming staff hired, or explaining building/equipment acquisitions from such fundraising, it always makes me wonder what is really going on.
