Has anyone tried setting the bridge up on android? My phone doesn't give me the option to join the ring network when it's scanning.

When I try to set up the bridge it wants my phone to be connected to the bridge via wifi and connected to my wifi at the same time. Something that can't be done.

@@hunterbates1561 I ended up using my dad's iPhone and it worked completely fine. I don't understand the issue with android.

@@loganralston829 yeah it was really starting to tick me off. Ill have to try using my wifes iPhone. Lately been having issues with ring products, replacements, and lost shipments. Which is a surprise because I've never had an issue.

Ring spotlight and ring floodlight are both battery operated

Yup, that's the downfall. I shy away from lights that are battery powered, especially for outdoor use in cold climates like mine. Cold kills batteries. Plus, who needs the hassle of having to go to the store to buy batteries, get the ladder, disassemble the light and change batteries every six months (or whenever). If they were solar and rechargeable then maybe I'd give them a shot.

The bridge it proving to be the worst product to set up that ring has ever created to date. Ive spent the last 6 hours trying to set it up with zero luck.

I just setup a Smart Light with the Bridge. Bit confused about the Linking devices. The Ring agent said that I could only link a camera(s) to the Smart Light so that if the camera detects motion it could then turn on the light. I thought that on the device app for the light that if the light detected motion it could turn on the camera and the agent said no, only within the camera setting could I turn on the light if the camera detects motion. Which way or both ways are right?

how long does the batteries last?

I installed them Aug 10 and in the app they still show full power. It's an icon rather than a percentage so a little hard to tell. Ring claims a year of life under "normal use" which is 8-10 activations a day. I see maybe 2-4 activations a day.
