Okay but am I the only one that clicked thinking it was gonna be an a capella medley of Vivaldi's four seasons lol xD (but this is awesome too of course)
It is actually arranged by Walter Chase from the A Capella group Straight No Chaser. If you search them up on YT, you can hear the same version sans instruments. ☺☺
These guys have been my hands-down FAVORITE barbershop group for years. All of them have such beautiful voices and their personalities shine through in every performance. I dont know how I hadn't seen this video till now but I am so impressed by it. Its so full of joy while still remaining pitch perfect. So glad it was recorded so we all can enjoy it!
Man, you guys are amazing at anything you sing! Put a mic to your group, and whatever comes out is gonna sound great. I can't think of any other group that could sing Barbershop, turn around and sing rock, jazz, pop like that's what their experience is in.
When you realize that the song is arranged by the legend Walter Chase...from Straight No Chaser... Yep. Quality is quality. So glad Walter's music is enjoyed across the world.
Yep. The year you guys won International I called it after you sang your National Anthem! You guys continually impress me! So good, and SO VERSATILE!! You are quickly becoming my favorite quartet ever!
Okay you guys are literally the best barbershop quartet that this world has ever heard. I would really like you guys to sing for my choir and barbershop quartet at my school in Oklahoma. this is a dream to see y’all live and meet y’all.
Whoa... I got into their barbershop but what a great concert this would have been to see. I know the bass singer has moved on but still... Maybe they'll tour sometime soon.
By any chance is there a full recording of this 10 year anniversary concert?? I continue to be obsessed with everything I hear from your fantastic group. More, more , more.......
We recorded everything and so did Swedish Radio. They broadcasted for the whole world at the end of 2016. We will only release what we thought was the best from this concert.
Great sound and awesome tribute....now expand it by doing full versions of these...then add 3 or 4 more songs. We need at least 10 or 12 minutes...I've seen a tribute band do 60 minutes...a blast all the way thru!!!
or a 35 min super group tribute....The four seasons, the beatles, the four tops, the temptations, the beach boys, and end with just a couple from Chicago!(the group...not the play...)
In central and northern Europe, most moderatly to well educated people speak English fluently. People who need it in their workplace will obviously have even better pronunciation than average, plus acurate pronunciation is easier in singing than while speaking freely, since you're imitating specific sounds the exact way you heard them, rather than really using them yourself. My English is good enough for that not to make a difference, but even though the only things I can do in French are introducing myself and singing the Internationale, it is significantly easier to produce acceptable pronunciation when singing than while reading, etc.
It's interesting though because most of them do have clear accents when speaking- it's like they're different people. They must put a lot of practice into mastering song lyrics

The locations of their voices in stereo don't correspond to their order on the stage (due to remastering with separate audio from each microphone). Rasmus is heard on the far left, then Jakob, then Martin, then Emanuel on the far right. This means the last chord is Martin on A3, Rasmus on C#5, Emanuel on E5, and Jakob on A5. I assume Emanuel is above Rasmus (rather than vice versa, like usual) because he was already singing a higher part (he had the harmony under Jakob starting at 5:05).
well just by quality of their voice it sounded to me like emanuel on the c#5 and rasmus on the e5, and i know they often will switch off parts purely for blend, regardless of who was previously singing what
The C# is clearly coming from my left headphone, though, which is where Rasmus's voice is. Same with the E coming from the right/Emanuel. Because they're singing very different parts right before hand it's clear Rasmus is on the left and Emanuel is on the right.
Hello fellow pitch nerds :) No-one is on A3, they all start on A4 including Martin. This is the most surprising bit to me - unprecedented! The rest is going to take more listening. Their blend is just too good!
Yeah... I guess we have to cut him some slack. We'll let him enjoy being with his wife and kids. Until they grow up, then I hope he quartets again. Also, I hope his kids sing!
Have these guys Ever seen the 4 Seasons perform????? Or ever HEARD Frankie Valli sing WALK LIKE A MAN ?? The answer is..... NO !!!! These dudes don't sing like the 4 Seasons. They sing like the JERSEY BOYS. And it's a Goddamned shame !!!
