I'm from Brazil and I never travelled to Rio. I'm loving these videos! Seeing people talking and understanding what they are talking and also seeing you beeing sooo well treated is making me proud from my country and the brazilian hospitality. You know, we brazilians that aren't from Rio kinda have some fear from this state because we only see in television the problems and criminality about it. This series is making me change my mind about Rio. I never tasted a Moqueca like this and I REALLY LOVE roasted ribs. So tastefullllll! Thank You so much, Mark, for making me watch my country with a different eye! I love this channel.
Im from Rio, and he dont mention the putrid smell from the guanabara's bay. Also people are so desperate with our bad administration that they would for sure try to trick or con anyone who look from outside. In this video, they appear nice cause he is famous and have a local guide. Sure the food is amazing, but also very expensive in the south zone and center... If we have serious administration, Rio would attract more people and make the visitors back. Sadly, most of them just get in the middle of the city's chaos and go away with bad experiences and lots of complains...
The last three videos made me sooo interested in Brazil that I got a new appreciation and outlook for the country. Thanks Mark!Your videos are always well done!;)
Hey! Im from Brazil and i highly suggest you to come :) The good thing about here is that the country is SO HUGE and, because of that, every state is really different. Hope someday you can visit my country, you'll be welcome here!
Here in Hawaii we use that red powder in a lot of dishes. It's from the Annatto Seeds also known as the lipstick plant. Different cultures use it differently but for the same purpose (coloring). Thank you for introducing us to different types of foods. Blessings to you and you family.
I've never been to Brazil but feel like i just did,, more than the food I feel the people all the blessing to Brazil and people from USA originally from Africa.. god bless..
You should come visit Brazil! Every state is really different and has its own culinary and people :) Hope someday you can come and see with your eyes! Have a nice day
Brazilians are very entrepreneur and creative people. I can notice that even the most poor one have some business. And you can feel a very different vibe depending on which place ou go. Every state is a different country in Brazil.

I have to agree, no disrespect to India, Pakistan or any Middle Eastern country, but I wasn't really interested. I really only watch food vloggers Mark and Trevor from The Food Ranger and they both had long tours there. Glad Mark is in a new place.

I wonder if the red powder is called Achiote. It’s used a lot in Honduras. It’s not spicy but gives color and a touch of unique flavor to the food. So amazed by all the beautiful people, food and cooks all over the world!! Wow! Much love to Brazil from California 💕💕
Mark!! I’m so tickled you’re in South America!! I would love for you to share a bit of your insight of overlapping cultures and foods. I see such common staples and methods to food preparation in all of your recent videos, and Brazil is definitely demonstrating a combination of many cultures. Really cool. Looking forward to more! By the way I could tell you’re craving the heat. You’ll need hotter chilis , ha ha ha!
Love you Mark & family. Love all of your videos, specially all the different places in the world you been to. I love the food. I love your face reactions when you taste the food. Nice video. Beautiful.country.! Hope next time you will visit.my beautiful country Suriname, which shares the southern border with Brazil. Micah is so sweet..! Love your family.
Hey Mark, great video my man, as always! BTW I looked up what the pigment was, it is urucum, also known as achiote and known in english as Annatto. I thought I recognized it. You have had it for sure, when you were in Mexico, as it forms the base of Pollo pibil, Tinga and, cochinita pibil as well. Keep up the great work, enjoy the rest of your trip and all the best to you and your family. Be blessed, one love!
I know there are different ways of cooking, but what makes a fish to became a moqueca recipe is the coconut milk. Otherwise it's only another fish dish. Mark always smiling and spreading his good vib out. Thank you!
You are the best my friend. Even my grandmother loves to see how much you enjoy eating. She laughs so much to see your face everytime you taste food. When are you Going to the Meca of good food? Perù.
