Guys. when it comes to type match ups and stats, please remember, the games over simplify it for game mechanics... so it's probably not as absolute and simple as the games want them to seem. Like, sure, Milotic is water type, but it's a living breathing creature hit by a rock kicked really fast that has a high temperature and then the hit caused an explosion IN IT'S FACE. I don't think the games think about that stuff. Or the fact that ground types being immune (for example) might not be an actual immunity but just simplified for game play purposes. Hell, even the lore of the games don't over focus on the numbers and types as much. Kyogre and Groudon have the same level of power, yet despite that, Kyogre has no type advantage in lore against Groudon. Why? Most likely, at their level of power, type doesn't matter as much any more. What probably matters more is the actual power of the attack. And even numbers. Remember that based on base stat total alone, both Primal Groudon and Kyogre surpass Rayquaza... but in universe, it is superior to both of them combined.... WITHOUT a mega.... The games are more simplified towards type match ups and value numbers more.... but in lore and the anime (and probably Poke canon) it doesn't tell the whole story. Numbers are just so you can further understand the Pokemon and type match ups probably matter a little bit in universe, but probably not as much as the game play shows (which is probably while single type gym leaders can be so strong in universe, but easy to crush in game play).
