Rest in peace, both Elizabeth Sladen and Nicholas Courtney. I was born after their first time in Doctor Who, but as soon as I heard of them I watched their older stories and they were great. As for this clip, only the Brigadier can pull a "Back in my day.." speech and deliver it with class
Lis and Nick were legends in Who, won't have people like them ever again in my honest opinion, it's people like them who made the glue of the show, I think it's the loss of them that has given Doctor Who somewhat of a downfall in recent years, like how the Beatles started breaking down once Brian Epstein passed away... I reckon Lis and Nick are up there now, standing with Jon looking down on us people watching this clip and smiling at those remembering when they were in their prime. The Doctor with his two best friends, as it should be, in all planes of existence in the universe.

@YansenDortman There was a tribute to him! It was so sad... in the Wedding of River Song, the Doctor tried to visit the Brigadeir, and when he called, he found out the Bigadeir had passed away. It was actually pivotal in the episode because that is when the Doctor decides he should go and face is death. I can't think of a better tribute, but maybe that's just me.
They were going to have him in Sarah Janes wedding on the SJ adventures with David Tennant but had a small stroke, I read that David was so upset, not just meeting him but was ill too!
That face that he made at the end was just classic Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart. He is still in touch with his charcter after all these years. R.I.P Nicholas Courtney.
RIP Elizabeth sladen and Nicolas Courtney and Sarah Jane adventures. Probably one of the last good shows on CBBC. They were probably the only CBBC show that managed to get guns on the show. If you look closely kilburn had a holster. Nowadays nothing like this would happen
In tomorrow's Doctor WHo episode, the Doctor will receive a call to inform him of the Brigadier's death. A fitting tribute and should be sad to watch :(
@AlexanderKupo2184 Most new fans maybe but the Brig is a well beloved character among all the people I've come across who have grown up on the classics. I mean he's met the most Doctors, founded and commnaded UNIT and has fought the most dangerous of the Doctors enemies whilst maintaining his british spirit and valor. Truly the ultimate companion all SJA herself. RIP to both of them, they will surely be missed.
It was good that Brigadier Lethbridge-Stewart forgave Sarah Jane Smith when they first met during the disappearance of some scientists, and she impersonated her aunt when she met him and the Doctor then.
@YansenDortman There was a tribute to the Brigadeir. At the end of Seris 6 back in Summer 2011. They told 11th Doctor Matt Smith that "Brigadeir Lethbredge-Stewart had passed away a few months ago". So you sir, are wrong. Of course, you weren't wrong at the time.
Took on Yetis, Daleks, Cybermen, Autons, Morgaine. and sure there was that messy business with the Silurians, and I don't remember you ever accepting a Jelly baby, but you were my Brigadier. You are why I, an adult who knows it doesn't exist *wink*, wants to join UNIT.

Long live Dr. Who, we'll enjoy your presence for millennia past and yet to come.
@HTprods When you live where I do and blessed with the capacity to freely float about on the plane of time itself, everything is both historical and predictive, therefore the context of your insulting comment isn't applicable (at least in my situation). Had you said that to almost anyone else, you would be right.
