Lets get this straight. The Maseratti MC 20 has a V6 Turbo. The car weights 3757 lb . And has a starting price of 215 000 $. By comparison the C8 Z06 has a V8 Naturally aspirated engine, weights 3650 lb and has a starting price of 128 000$. The design of the car is the only department in which the MC20 is superior.
I have a z06 and a 22 mc20. All i can say is it feels like a porsche turbo with a kick in the pants like a mclaren and the handeling of a ferrari. Let alone you dont see them anywhere. A very well-built car.

Making fun of the Z06 is a HUGE no-no on RU-vid. Heaven forbid you besmirch thy name, the Corvette fanboys will attack. 🤣Having driven and reviewed both...the Corvette sounds better and handles a bit better (with Z07), but the Maserati is the one to have by a long-shot.
@@markw9512 That's not the point. I specifically said the Z06 is the better handling car (albeit by a factor 99% of people won't even notice, because the Maserati is THAT good). But unfortunately...the C8 isn't a good looking car. And every time I look at my car, I want to be stunned. The Maserati is stunning to look at, stunning to be inside of, and stunning to drive. The Z06 sounds incredible and handles supremely well, but I don't like looking at it and the steering feel isn't great, either.

I think there’s more than a small amount of bias on your part, and it shows. I think your behavior is ugly for belittling a car that you probably can’t afford in any case.

I have extensively driven the C8 Z06 and the MC20, I agree with his statement. The Z06 is fast around corners and sounds the best, but the steering has no soul. The MC20 is the one to own between the two. It's just a more beautiful and more exotic car, and it's a Jack of all trades. And yes, I can afford both, I'm not being biased, I have a Z06 on order as a beater, but already have a McLaren and don't need the MC20 right now.

Someone else chose to compare its *performance* to the Z06. Allow me to retort: 1. Its interior is not as nice as the C6. Looks cheap and cobbled together as others have mentioned in reviews. 2. A V6 has no place in a supercar, turbo or not. They are rough and sound like crap. 3. Performance wise, it's not even close. Car & Driver gave this car a rating of 7th out of the cars in the class they've tested. The Z06 came in first. 4. Track-wise, it is not even a contest. AutoBild runs tests on EuroSpeedway Lausitz and has tested both. The Z06 came in 3rd place, with a time of 1'27"41. 2nd was the 991.2 GT2 RS and first was the AMG GT Black Series. The MC 20 came in at 17th place, with a time of 1'31"41 . Not even close. A portly M8 Competition turned a faster lap than this car. Same story at Vairano Handling Course, where it comes in 32nd at 1'13"08, having managed to beat a Porsche 992 Carrera S by 37/100ths of a second. No numbers on this track for a C8 Z06, but the C7 Z06, which is slower, came in at 14th and thrashed it at 1'11"34. So enjoy it boys and girls, but I'd advise steering clear of circuits. A track darling it surely is not. It does look pretty, though, so a nice date.

Beautiful car, for sure. But for the price, I'd get a Ferrari 296GTB, 488 or F8 Tributo, all for the same price (check Auto Trader). Not sure why the Maserati name holds so much value for you, because growing up for me, it's the Italian car that was all style but no substance.
The MC20's biggest fail is the without a doubt the exhaust. Thats actually the main reason why I chose to buy a Z06 rather than an MC20. With the Z06 you get an exhilarating driving experience due to that screaming, popping exhaust note, whereas with the MC20, it literally sounds like a lawn mower. I also don't care for the lackluster interior of the MC20, its basic, cheap, unexciting, and is basically just made up of other current Maserati parts instead of its own MC20 parts. Thanks for the review I did enjoy it.
Since you brought it up, there is one big difference between the C8 Corvette and the MC20: you don't have to sell your kidney to own one. I have a C8 Convertible with a Red Mist Tri-coat paint job that's far better and cheaper than white, and they allow me into Cars and Coffee all the time. I have just as many kids huddling around my car as the Ferraris for one big reason. The kids (and even grown ups) tell me the European supercars are cars they dream to own one day, but the C8 is the supercar they know they can actually own one day. It's the attainable supercar. The moonshot accomplishment that GM was able to pull off at the price they set, commands respect. Even Maserati couldn't pull that off. Like I said, you brought it up because you couldn't avoid comparing the MC20 with the Z06. So while you're still saving your money to buy something that looks better, I'll be on a mountain pass somewhere with something that drives better.
I maybe nitpicking... But this car seems a little bit plain on the outside. This could pass for a 5 or 10 year old supercar when looked at from most angles. I'll take the Z06 and a year's worth of cruises.
a very nice and expensive super sports car, unfortunately with a weight from nearly 1650 Kg ( weight with all the fluids and gasoline ) a little bit heavy. Ok you can say it´s not heavy but a cheaper 2023 AWD 911 Turbo S has the same weight and that without a carbon body and carbon chassis parts where the only RWD Maserati has.
@@Luke-cb3ly Ok it could be maybe right fully loaded, they put one here in Germany on a scale and it was 1650 Kg, 150 Kg more as Maserati claims but thats very normal because the Italians always say the weight number of the completely stock and empty car.

@@SamCarLegionnah that’s not always the case, the Maserati will give you infotainment problems, drivetrain problems, transmission issues, the seats are known to get stuck, and u saying how long can you drive a Bugatti without having an oil change doesn’t really make sense😭, that’s basic maintenance for any car lol, how does that make the Bugatti unreliable, every car needs brakes and an oil change 😭
A z06 with z07 package is faster than both a McLaren 720s and a Ferrari Tributo on almost ANY road course race track in the world. The MC20 is WAY behind, and that has to be a major consideration when purchasing a sports car. This is a beautiful car, but we are talking sports.
There's always something faster. You can put bolt on and modify a toyota and make it faster than a z06. That's not the point. I own both. the overall driving experience all around with the mc20 to me surpasses any other car, including the c8 z06. Plus, with 130 thousand corvettes made, the mc20 is in a class of its own, with only a few in the states. You dont see them anywhere.
