The only way you can really get rid of that raspy sound is to install a resonator or 2 somewhere, but then that could sacrifice a little power, also you can experiment with other catback exhaust, the Magnaflow is probably going to be the quietest. There is a video on youtube of a red Eclipse GTS, he has the RPW headers and a Invidia Exhaust, and in my opinion that combination sounds awesome, deep sounding with no raspy sound. I hear RPW still makes headers to order and is the least raspy sounding of them all with good hp gains. If you don't know already about the video I'm talking about its called ( Eclipse RPW Header - Hushpower ll resonator - Invidia Catback ). I think putting in a resonator will help you get rid of that rasp, good luck.
So I'm wondering about that egr pipe off the back of the intake manifold does it attach to your new headers or did u have to delete it.? Just curious cuz I'm about to do my headers
Know if there’s any good headers for the 2.4 GS? Or a good place to find performance parts for them? Trying to make that 4 banger faster without engine swapping or anything stupidly expensive much love from the slower 3Gs 😂
Hey man great vid! I have a 2003 GT and one of my hoses seems to be cut an capped off by the previous owner I was wondering if there was a way you could help me identify where it goes?
Mine has this hissing sound when I press on the accelerator, and at first I thought it was a vacuum leak, because I doused every hose/tube I could see with brake cleaner, and nothing happened. But I also discovered a giant hole in the flex pipe a couple months ago, so I wonder if that could have something to do with it... Let me know what you think? Thank ya
I’ve done a bit since this video but now it’s wrapped purple, ripp headers, invidia n1 exhaust, drilled and slotted rotors, short shifter, cold air intake, weight reduction, carbon fiber hood, aftermarket headlights and taillights and then a bunch of other stuff, just kinda do things as I go
It’s a very noticeable difference which is why I said that and I’m aware, I’m getting a new catback to fix that issue, if you heard in the video I said it was raspy, it’s something I’m addressing ASAP lol
