This was really something special. A fellow Jersey native, as well as a lifelong Derek Jeter collecter, really enjoyed this video. My favorite card will always be my Topps Draft Pick Derek Jeter card that I've had since I was very young. One of the few things from my fathers and my collection that we still have. Recently found it along with my old Jeter binder, had to move back in with my father due to health issues getting much worse. Born with a degenerative disease that went undiagnosed for many years. You guys did a phenomenal job, everyone working on the video. It has the perfect laid back, natural, not overly produced atmosphere. Emily does a fantastic job making the interview feel much more like two people having a conversation, and Mr. Jeter is as classy and cool as it gets. Really enjoyed the content, helps a lot especially when you're not feeling well. I'll most surely be looking forward to the next installment! Thank you so much 💙 - James
I love players opening up card videos! WOW Jeter and the 93 Topps, great pair! It was cool hearing him call it ‘Draft Pick’ card and not his ‘Topps Rookie! Ya know!? I thought he was talking about his Draft Pick card like the Front Row, or Classic, and then I’m like 🤦🏼♂️it’s a Topps video! Very cool seeing him name the other players on the DP cards, Bernie! ‘Dave Silvestri SS for the Yankees😁’ Cool video!!!
I have the ultimate respect for this guy even though I am not a Yankee fan. He does it the right way and always did. His "flip" play is the greatest play I have ever witnessed live in any sport.
I think Mr Jeter has an autograph that is so iconic and impossible to for a fraudster to duplicate. I can tell if an autograph of his is fake the second I see it. Thanks for making your autograph so special. I like the fact that he cares how it looks and keeping it the same throughout the years.
I was so hoping the Veterans Committee would do the right thing and put Mattingly in the Hall the same year as Jeter. I would have driven my whole family to Cooperstown to celebrate my two favorite players ever.
I only bought a handful of 93' Topps back in the day, but I lucked out and actually have his rookie card. Luckily, I'm a Yankees fan and I actually protected it. I should really get it graded.
My dad saved a bunch of cards that i had opened back in the day. A nice looking Jeter rookie in the lot. Couldnt believe it. (Had a Pudge rookie too. Made me excited as a Rangers guy)
I believe I have the Alan Trammell card. I need to organize my cards before I pass them on to my son who loves baseball as much as I do. We are on a mission to get to all the MLB and MiLB parks. Truly can’t beat fun at the old ballpark!
Hey I was passed down a bunch of topps boxes and I have his original rookie card. It would be pretty cool for me to be the one to give it to him lol worth a shot
5:58 Simmons, Good God Almighty..hardly recognizable . Mother Nature has not been kind to _either_ of these figures in terms of looks ; the passing years have certainly taken their toll. It's frightening.
pulled a Jeter auto out of a pack a few months back and my hands were literally shaking with excitement! Also randomly ran into him when he was in town playing the Pirates and he was generous to sign the back of a business card for me.
I never bought any 93 Topps but I did pull a Jeter auto out of a $5.00 hanger pack in 2016, it was numbered 2/2. I sold it with my 2014 Bowman platinum Superfractor of Mike Trout, 2 best cards I've ever pulled.
Love Jeter so much! Mattingly and Jeter are my two baseball idols. My house burned down in a wildfire and lost everything, including all my baseball cards. One day I’ll get my Jeter and Mattingly rookies again. Thanks for the video!
Very lucky to have Jeter draft pick card also his gold card both pulled as a kid! Now I just have to find the Topps keychain folding razor knife. HELP!! Lol
I love the fact that he rips those packs of cards, says a few things about some stars and everyone else gets shuffled and passed over lol… such a Boss move.
