I had some raw footage laying around of us ripping the new SeaDoo Spark Trixx, so I decided to throw it together. Excited to try more new stuff on this thing, so stick around for more.
Hey guys! Trying to upload the new video now but I’m fighting internet issues. Worst case scenario it will be up Wednesday night. Thanks for your patience!
Very impressive on the whip to nose drop with that small wake. I may have to practice that, hopefully with my weight I can pull it off. Lol... Great Video!!!
I’m very familiar at doing the tricks that you display. However, I am impressed that you are doing them off your own wake. I could tell each time how came across it for the lift point. I followed you gradual 90+ degree right turn followed by the 270 back left before popping it in the air. What you cut from each shot in editing was the turns prior to make the wake big. Please explain. Thx!
First off, I set my trim 1-2 clicks below all the way up to make the biggest waves and get the most pop off the face of the wave. Basically I’m making a gradual “U” shape at 10-13mph, then at the end of the “U” I make a hard turn in the opposite direction, and catch the waves as they come together at the bottom of the “U”. Make sure you’re hitting them almost parallel with the bottom of the “U”. I will try to make a demonstration in my next Spark video.
I keep my trim at 1 click below all the way up the entire time I ride unless I'm doing powerslides. Really just pin it at the bottom of the face of the wave, turn all the way in one direction, and throw it over with all of your body weight all at once.
Can the 3 up version if this thing confortably seat 2? Or do you constantly have to fight for balance? Trying to decide if it would be ok for my family to use or if i should get a slightly bigger one for better balance. This one looks like a blast though
I have fun riding 2up with this one, you could always get the 3up with the longer seat and just remove the extension off the rear and have the best of both worlds I suppose.
The 2up is not very fun or balanced with 2 riders. I would call it a 1 person pwc. The 3up is probably better for 2 riders but again, not the right type of pwc your looking for if you are double riding alot.
Thanks for the raw video with no blaring music. much appreciated. Just curious what your weight was during this? I'm around 200 lbs and on the fence between 2up and 3up.
Do you think the Trixx is the way to go for fun speed and fun riding, or is the GTI 130 the better choice? Looking for a fun Jetski but also want fast speed... I'm afraid the GTI will be les fun with throwing it arround and stuff
I have never ridden a GTI, but I have a Yamaha GPR. The GPR will do 72 but gets boring very fast. I would take the spark over any other ski for fun factor and not getting boring.
yo i've watched this back idk how many times but i just love your jump 180s type moves but i really can't get it to work. if you could explain that'd be sick. would be sweet to see another one of these. i'm always trying to do more tricks on mine
I’ll probably end up explaining it in my next video, but I set my trim to one click down from all the way up, find (or make) a good wave, and at the bottom of the face of the wave just turn all the way in one direction, pin it, and pull it over as hard as you can, all at once.
6 minute video that was over in 2 minutes because of how good it was! In your opinion is the trixx worth buying? I’m thinking of buying a jet ski and I’m not sure which one to get.
I was using some cheap O'Neal motocross helmet in this video, but have since upgraded to a 509 Altitude Carbon Composite helmet. I have never gone underwater with a helmet on so I'm not sure, but that will change I'm sure.
I know the Sparks dont take on waves that good, its very bouncy barley going over any waves. Is that the same thing with a Trixx? Or is it more heavy to were its not a bumpy ride?
Big Ticket Mods Not the worst on choppy water but anything after 1ft waves your gonna get wet in my experience. But if i wanted a smoother ride i wouldve just gotten a boat lol
YOOO this is dopeeee!!! When u are doing those 180s on the trixx are you just turning really hard? Or is there some kind of trick to doing it cause I can't figure it out!!
I turn fully in that direction and pin it while throwing all of my weight in that direction. You can over-rotate pretty easily and land completely on your side so you just have to keep trying and find the sweet spot.
Really cool man, do you have any special features on that one or done anything to it, ours is bone stock for right now, and it seems like yours is more capable of doing more stunts but also you might be heavier since I’m still quiet short
Big Ticket Mods wow we had ordered that same stage 3 kit the other day but with all the back ups and stuff it will take a while for the kit to come in, very cool man.
I’ve been wanting one of these but been balking at pulling the trigger. Owned every motorized toy under them sun but never had my own jet ski. Is this the way to go? I just figure it won’t get boring having the option to learn tricks etc
Exactly, there are so many dimensions to this ski when it comes to doing tricks, it really doesn’t ever get boring. You can basically do anything you want if the wave is big enough. Realistically all jet skis are fun, but the Trixx is by far the most fun. I wouldn’t hesitate.
These are cool but they don’t last half as long as a Yamaha and doing work and maintenance yourself on it are a bitch. There’s a reason they’re the cheapest out there and it shows. If you’re gonna spend that kinda money go buy a used supercharged Yamaha.
Jade Lees The Rotax 900 is an extremely robust motor and it’s fuel efficient. Not to mention the spark is just barely north of 400lbs. You can’t do half of the stuff on a GPR that you can do on a spark. Coming from a Yamaha guy.
Big Ticket Mods I see what you mean but they’re really a cheap piece of shit. Plastic hull for one and the bolts that take the top off after a few times won’t be ass good cause it’s plastic and doing service on it is a pain in the ass and that’s not adding the countless problems sea doos have especially in saltwater. Sparks have proven to be the worst jet ski to buy cause taking the top off can be hard by yourself and you can’t properly clean the inside preventing corrosion.
Dude that is absolutely freakin dope. Where are you out of? I am in Missouri and currently converting my Spark to a Trixx. I have the extended IBR and thats it but going to add more soon. We need to do a collab vid, your stunting is next level on that thing. Also what mods have been done???
I'm actually way up north in Minnesota! This was all done on a bone stock 19 Trixx with 20 hours on it at the time. I will be doing a tune and maybe an impeller later this year. Also thinking about bars as the stock adjustable riser moves up and down when you jump hard so it's not ideal.
We picked up 3 of the 2021 trixx’s the other day. Two of them we cannot activate sport mode or move the trim(vts) anyone know what the issue can be? Bringing back to the dealer but just wanted to know maybe someone experienced this as well
I’ve never heard of this. Are you getting any codes? I got an iBR code and the iBR quit working because my battery came loose in the engine bay and was flying around.
Is this the 2 seater? Easier to maneuver than the 3 up by the looks of it! I've thought about wearing a helmet on our trixx when really getting after it, shin guards too lol! I know you're wearing it mostly just for the Go Pro mount. Lets see some more good footage from this year, cheers!!
Brand new 2019 for $8000 out the door last July. It was a crazy deal considering how much they are going for now, even used. If I were in the market again I would look for a low hours 2017 or something like that.
I know this is a older vid , but im looking at the trix but cant decide between the 2 up and 3 up. Id prefer the 3 up so i can have a passenger/ tow a tube, but is it still maneuverable enough to have fun like this?
I have a 3up and it does all this but doesn't want to spin around on a dime like most all the rest. Like when you are doing 30 or so and want to spin around the other way it won't hardly do it. All other jet skis I've had and rode did it with ease.
On a big enough wave it’s definitely possible but off of your own wake it’s nearly impossible with any of the couch skis. Too big and not enough lift without extended VTS.
I wish I could find other trixx riders near me I find I'm the only guy on my whole lake doing this shit lol.. Everyday I have tones of wakeboats filming me as their driving by ahaha
I didn’t, I’ve seen people do some crazy stuff with the sponsons on and decided I’d rather learn like that than “cheat”. I’m really not doing anything difficult here. Watch my newest vid on trim setting and jumping. Basically just try to take the weight off of the oustide of the ski when throwing 180s.
@@BigTicketMods whats stage 3? The buttons on the left handle grip,do you leave that level ? Yeah idk,i don't feel like mine has the same acceleration to get it in the air off any wake.
@@BigTicketMods i like riva myself. I ride Yamaha 2 stokes and have had heads, pipes, water boxes, intakes and they all been very good quality. Idk about the other brand. I also ride stand ups. Waveblaster 1 is the closest i will get to a sit down ski until i get to old to stand lol So im not familiar with 4 strokes and maps. Riva is a well know and reputable company though.
@@jeffbryner5355 I haven't had the chance to rip a stand up but would love to try. There is definitely more you can do on a stand up but my goal is to throw down on a sit down just as hard. The Trixx only being just over 400lbs is like throwing around a snowmobile, super easy if you have enough air. I could do a lot more if I had surf to ride in.
I had a 800 sxr. Doing the submarine trick was my favorite. That and jumping massive wakes that the wakeboard school boat would make, then landing underwater.
Fuel on it is amazing for what you get.. I fill mine up with 91 28 bucks.. Lasts the whole weekend sometimes 2 weekends depending on how long your riding
@@djaketech4460 lmao they use the same hulls on all the new models. That being said they also have the same exact engine just a tune that tones it down a bit.
DJakeTech I’ve jumped like five feet into the air and crashed down on the water very very hard on a trixx the only way to break the hull is to basically slam a rock
DJakeTech I haven’t seen the hull flex at all I drive it at a big ass lake with 4ft+ waves at the most and I’ve had no problems with the hull the only thing that I’ve found wrong with the spark is the intake grate is way too big sucking up shit all the time so u would probably want an aftermarket one
