This is real music, The feelings put into the song, the music, the lyrics and the perfomance. You can really feel that he closes his eyes while singing and remembering what he felt when he wrote the song, so he can sing the song the way it's ment to. Just so unbelivably good. The feeling they create, is, i can't even find a word for it. Just the best.

Joe met Tim at a Sick of it All show and Joe and Mr. Precision had something and he asked Tim to sing for some of the tracks he was the original of Transistor Revolt and Rise Against. Technically if he was on the original recordings and was their first singer he's an original it doesn't matter who founded it all that matters is the first line up.
Rise Against is AMAZING in every possible way. I even try to look for their least popular song in itunes and I can't find a bad song, they are just that good!
This is the best acoustic version they ever did. Since 2007 I come here every few months to remind myself how good this acoustic version it is. I was really hoping they will release this in Ghost Note Symphonies :/
lol they did that to me! i remember my mate put on ready to fall a few years ago and i was like euurgh turn this shit off. then a couple of days later curiosity got the better of me and i searched them up on here. within a day or two i was obsessed and still am today! SOAD for life!
For me they´re still the greatest band on earth. Don´t start calling me a "mainstream fan" , jeah I got into Rise Against with the album Appeal to Reason, but I really love TU or RPM. To me it seems like they´ve always done what they really wanted to do and they grew naturally.:P
@andyfitzj nope brandon wasn't in 88 Fingers Louie, John Caroll was the drummer for 88 Fingers, although the guitarist Dan Wleklinski went to Rise Against, forgot that John was never a part of Rise Against so we both fail it was only two of 88 Fingers members that began Rise Against.
It's watching acoustic vids like this that make me wish they would have picked around 12 songs to do acoustically and put out a cd with them...just to hold us over until the new album...
I meant Joe is the only one of the members that came from 88 Fingers Louie. Brandon also wasn't the original drummer, he is actually the third, the first was Toni Tintari and then Dan Lumley from Screeching Weasel was with them for just a brief time.
@BubbleParadox yes definately i find it hard to describe aswell but that puts it well that he just played for the music, cos he actually left rise against because they were getting too big and hectic, and he even said himslef that he didnt want to be famous. yeah he just plays for the music cos he loves the music. beautiful.
Rise Against is one of my favorite modern bands, funny since 3 of the original 4 members came from my fave skate punk band of the 90's 88 Fingers Louie although the only original member now is Joe Principe the bassist.
because the toruing was too hard for him, and he wanted to be with his family and stuff..... but he said it was the greatest three years of his life, and he'll always remember the memories he ahd with rise against..... but im really sad he left too.....
Transistor Revolt was called before Rise Against. No, Rise Against only has 2/4 of the orignial members. Before Brandon there were also 2 other drummers. But with Brandon they have recorded The Unraveling. On RU-vid you can find somewhere when Brandon joined Rise Against with their first show with them. Tim did a little speech about that ;).
Also, if you understand anything about how the music industry works, one of the only ways to gain power and respect is to sign with a major album. (Think politics, only a bit more easy to listen to depending on the song) Yeah we have sites and stuff and small shows dedicated to new bands, but the only way to get really noticed is through a lot of hard, dedicated work. As far as I am concerned, selling out only exists for those who lose what they were about. Rise Against has always stood strong.
