Is this the life that you lead? Or the life that's left for you? Will you take the road that's been laid out before you Will we cross pathes somewhere else tonight? somewhere else tonight...
The band was definitely at their peek at this point, Chris with his amazing guitar work and back up vocals, Tims voice was in its prime, and the band was flowing with new great ideas and songs!
Chris went zach came and suddenly it became way less attractive to see, hear, feel and taste. it was a breakdown but we have to accept it and we have to cherish The Siren Song, The sufferer and of course RPM and The Unraveling, after The Sufferer it became shit :(
I feel like everybody hates on the later albums because the band felt like they needed to change. If we got the same type of album every year, Rise would have been labeled another Nickleback band. If you went and listened to the other albums without prejudice, you'd likely enjoy them a lot more.
Exactly I agree with Sean I’ve listened to each album without the prejudice and I love all of their shit fr I even found songs that are straight magic from the black market so fuck outta here with they haven’t made good music since sufferer try again listen to a song called methadone too soo good
@@seanoreilly2949 I'm not hating later albums, I just hate Wolves, where my favorite band gone full left. Like, the only one song (and it's amazing one btw) is not about elections and pissing on people's choice (a punk-rock band against people, huh).
Trallafitti this is the perfect version of this band. Saw them around this time open for alkaline trio. Amazing. They are really good now they were great then
that's why this is my favorite live performance of all time!! and because the moment when the crowd is singing Is this the life that you lead? Or the life that's left for you? Will you take the road that's been laid out before you goosebumps
I'd kill to have been at this show! This song is my all-time fave by Rise Against. The line "will we cross paths somewhere else tonight" is one of those that takes me back to a very specific moment every single time I hear this song
The amount of melody Rise Against put into their songs are shocking. THIS IS AN AMAZING PERFORMANCE, Tim's voice was beautiful! The one thing I can't understand is how a band can cater to their more hardcore audience (like me), with songs like Dead Ringer, while pleasing those with mellow tastes with their softer songs like Paper wings! Please don't stop making music! One hell of a crowd too, 2:27!
Rise Against is basically 90% reinvented hardcore punk ethics and ideologies and 10% 95' pop revival But this is 2004, so you can imagine how times had changed
Found myself back on this video again, the video that made fall in love with a band. That voice, the crowd, THOSE DRUMS This is still one of the best live performances ever recorded I ended up going to see RA for my first ever concert a few years after watching this when I was 16; took the train 6 hours through the night to Melbourne with my mates. This video must be preserved lmao it’s an iconic moment in history
Can't believe it's been over a decade. I remember listening to RA so much in high school as if it was just yesterday. As the years pass, Tims lyrics become more relevant and powerful. Thank you RA!!
hell yeah i was there in Philly. I went for Rancid, saw Rise Against, came home, bought a CD and now I can't stop screaming it in my car on the way to work... AMAZING band. Rancid and Rise Against playing a show together might be better than sex... for me at least =)
somewhere else!! and i can tell if you're laughing between each smile there is a tear in your eye!! there is a train leaving town in an hour!!he's not waiting for you!! and neither am i!!!
I am a Muslim, after I read the Quran I came to the conclusion that it is the word of God. I used to be a Christian but that religion never made much sense to me.
Josh Chrissy Stop believing in bronze age fairy tales written by primitive fools who didnt even know the earth revolved around the sun. And youll become truly happy
and no matter what any person says, i'm pretty sure i'm a true fan. i've listened to all their albums.. and all their songs.. i'll be surprised if i missed a single song. but yea. rise against
And i can tell if you're laughing!!between each smile there is a tear in your eye!!There is a train leaving town in an hour!!He's not waiting for you and neither am i!!!!!!!
The best performance!!! In Vienna I hoped for Paper Wings (Nov.22) and nearly the same crowd Performance. Unfortunately not. Amazing - I love this song 🎵 🎶
ya man, i heard this song by accident about 1 year ago, since then, i've loved everything rise against, but this song, it just takes me to another place, i'd love dearly to see them live
i cant help but keep listening to this song!!! rise against sounds so amazing live!!! i just wish i went to one of their shows...especially this one. the crowd was just so awesome.
this is the best band on the world i love them, there's no words to say what i feel, when a hear this song.. RISE AGAINST PLEASE COME TO COLOMBIA WE'RE WAITING FOR YOU ..
I always do, I get shivers right after the guitar solo cause if the crowd started singing my own song like that to my band even though we're a garage band id be fucking pumped
i'm of indian descent (bangali)! and muslim! and a girl! i love rise against. i've been listening to their songs for a whole straight year.. i don't even know how much that is. but it's A LOT!. i agree with you.. only that white christian fundie is like thumbing you down. it's cool that they have a diverse crowd as well! :)
awesome band, like their syle, like their music, like them on every size. I regret that i didn't go to their concert. I am listening them only 2 months. I'm not the fan but i really enjoy their quitar solo. I wish i could that well. Maybe 2-3 years then maybe something like that. Thx!
How the hell can the drummer be looking AWAY when such an awesome crowd as this is singing this verse so passionately. I would totally look my eyes out!
