This guys voice is sick!! I thought he would never be able to pull it off this well live! I really appreciate a band alot more if they can pull off there music live like this...
rise against is one of my favorite bands i love tims vocals and zacks guitar playing and the drummer and joes bass and what the songs are about they help me get through my daily life and problems
I think this was their prime. They were fantastic. Still a fan, but their newer stuff is nowhere near this caliber. Their live performances also aren't as electric.
Their live stuff, now, is musically muddy and vocally weak. I just saw them and I LOVE rise against but I was disappointed in Tim's vocals. I think he burned out his voice by not frying correctly and the guitar / drums seem washed out to maybe cover it a bit... i dunno.
I saw them live yesterday...it was fucking awesome, i was in the front row, 20 feet from the stage, incredible experience, especially when they played this song
I love Rise Against! If you want to hear a band like them, listen to Refuse the Conformity. They're choppy but are a true version of punk. They're only 15 and honestly they're not too bad. They really grasp the true meaning of punk about being yourself and not giving a fuck about what other people think.
1) It's not a necessity for a rock song to have a guitar solo, or any solo. It needs to sound good and have strong meaning to be a good song. 2) Some of their songs do have solos. And they do quite well at it.
If music didn't evolve and grow as you're saying then we'd still be listening to bippety bop music from the 50's or worse, beating drums with animal bones... I think you're just like the millions of people nowadays who shield their eyes like babies to anything that isn't aged music, and refuse to adapt. Rise Against is VERY respectable even without their music's message because they actually do something; they're drug free, straightedge, and promote/are involved in groups like PETA. now grow up.
@pikegeneral Yeah, I thought the same thing. I went to their show here in brazil in the beginning of the year and I must that it was the best show of my life!
@gohaster Last sunday in Groove - Palermo, Bs As. De puta madre el show! Here is the list: 1- Chamber The Cartridge 2- State Of The Union 3- The Good Left Undone 4- Heaven Knows 5- Re-Education (Through Labor) 6- Survive 7- Like The Angel 8- Help Is On The Way 9- The Dirt Whispered 10- Injection 11- Prayer Of The Refugee 12- Audience Of One 13- Architects 14- Savior 15- Swing Life Away 16- Hero Of War 17- Alive And Well 18- Give It All 19- Ready To Fall
wait u tellin me they were still playing to such a small audience when Sufferer and the witness was released? fuck I got to know them wayyyy too late D: the people in the first row can almost touch tims feet...good ol days...if only I had been to a concert where only songs from 1st to 4th album were played T_T damn it
@SceneKitty3 I wonder what you would look like after 1 hour of jumping and screaming with no space for your arms + this was their new song by then, people didnt know it yet. Have you ever been to a Rise Against concert?
Agree on the Endgame part, but Revolutions Per Minute had the best energy. Black Masks and Gasoline, Heaven Knows, Generation Lost, Halfway There, Broken English, Blood-Red White and Blue, Torches, Dead Ringer etc.
well even if there aren't any solo doesn't mean that is bad music. Well if u have time to listen to this band I can say that they so great riffs and one of the greatest bassists out there. And plz don't call rise against for a commercial band if u would understand the song and what the band stands for I think u would had said somthing else. Cause rise against is more than music! sry for bad english
@HeIlOwnz Probably most of them has never listened to this song...Tim said:''this one is a new song.'' They were so excited when they heard it...they couldn't talk...silence....shhhh.....=X
1:25/1:27, bad fry scream of Tim, thought that happens to the best singers, and it's really hard to acomplish a fry scream like tim has, Thumbs UP for Tim! :D
@SceneKitty3 Agreed, but then again they don't really know their "new song" so people are trying to listen out for it :D And look at Paper Wings at the same gig. Same crowd, will blow your mind on the bridge.
@jennyzimmer483 =) that's good, they are an amazing band. I've seen them 3 times live and they've always put on a different show, it gets better every time!
@CrunchyTuesdayface Their music is also about enjoying your life while you have it because it's so fragile, if people enjoy mosh pits why shouldn't they? It's not like it's hurting anyone?
GTFO. I'm almost 35 and love the two bands you just mentioned. But this is one of the ONLY bands that is actually keeping PUNK ROCK alive. One of my favorite bands and I'm willing to bet that I'm not the only one.
