+Paradise997 Indeed! I used to blast Rise Against music in my house and my mum would complaint that it gives her a headache lol but after I showed her these videos she fell in love with the message. When I moved out she used to call me and tell me she missed hearing these songs.
They preformed this at the concert in Detroit last night and Tim had everyone scream "READY TO FALL" like 12 times, it was awesome seeing all the fans unite into one sea of voices
The message in the end... Still remember when I heard it for the first time as a teen. I'm 28 years old now and still care a lot about the environment and my love for the animals couldn't be stronger. When I first listened to Rise Against, back in school, I was "only" a vegetarian. Vegan now. Low waste. Sustainable and fair. Some of my friends started to care about our planet too. Thank you, Rise Against! You clearly had an impact
I'm glad to have found my twin. I was vegetarian when this first came out, I am now a sustainable vegan (29 years old) and lobbying for climate solutions. Rise Against is my favorite band!
When humans are naturally omnivorous, that can't be argued due to our teeth, that's just science, how does being vegan help the planet. Have you ever considered issues of eco-diversity? That is, have you considered that when a predator leaves an area permanently, therefore no longer hunting it's regular prey, then the prey thrives yes. That's what you think you want. But life is cyclical for a reason. Nature intended it that way to sustain itself. If you lose predators, and the prey population rises dramatically, then sure, yay, you saved the forest critters. Now they're eating all your vegetables, and without enough predators, drive you out of your own food, because you don't want to harm the animals that are taking your food from you. We have a food chain. We have predators. We have prey. These are all natural things. I am a witch. The life of this planet is my first priority, but needlessly wrecking finely tuned life cycles is not the way to do that.
@@kagesong I don't want to have an impact on wildlife. The balance must be kept upright, even if humans already destroyed a lot of it (by destroying their natural habitats, by hunting certain animals, ...). This can't be denied. Every human leaves a bad footprint, all we can do is to keep it as small as possible. I don't protect prey animals in particular. But humans don't just „eat animals to keep the planet in balance“. Humans BREED or „produce“ an insane amount of animals only to be killed, as there is never enough meat to feed every person. And way too often they keep them in small spaces. Most of them never even see daylight. People buy their cookies at the supermarket and don't even mind where the eggs in there come from, but claim to „only eat free range eggs“ where all the males still get killed right after they hatched. Is this the balance we aim for? This is not the peaceful world I dream of, at least. This is a cruel nightmare in my eyes. It clearly helps the planet not to eat animals. People always forget, hot many resources it takes to feed a cow or pig (all the soy etc.) until it is fat enough to be slaughtered. There is enough research about it... It's easy to look it up.
Because Rise Against make music for a normal society layer. Justin make music for people who doesn't even care about the world. And the latter are more.

I love Tim's eyes. When I was a kid, I had a school mate who had one brown eye and one blue eye, just like Tim. And he was bullied and considered a weirdo because of that. But I was simply fascinated with his eyes. While all the other kids around me kept calling him names, the beauty of his eyes was leaving me speechless. Heterochromia is very interesting.

Happy 11th birthday to this amazing track! This really changed the way I view the world since the first time I watched it. I love Rise Against, if there was a band I would die for, it would be them no question. They've opened my eyes to the society we fostered and accepted. I'm more than excited to Wolves to come out. Just showed Cowspiracy this week to my 7th graders in class. I will be following it up with this song as our "song of the week" for next week. . I think it will have additional meaning after seeing the documentary on animal agriculture. Keep spreading the word!
I'm not sure which is more tragic in this video: the images displayed or Tom's haircut back in 2009. But in all seriousness, I do love the messages this band puts out. They're really trying to raise awareness about controversial issues and make the world a better place, and because of that I have an immense amount of respect for them. We all need to Rise Against this corrupt system in one way or another if our species is going to survive and not drive this planet and ourselves to extinction.
I love this band so much, but this song and music video are by far my favorite. The first time I watched it, the uncensored version, I broke down in tears....then shared it about a billion times on facebook. Lol I lost quite a lot of friends because they don't care about that kind of stuff. Heartbreaking.

Many of the world's most diverse ecosystems that used to be the natural 'wonders' of the world (the Amazon, the Great Barrier Reef) are undergoing some heavy destruction as we speak, whether it be directly from human activities, climate change, or both.

Well, the commercial hip-hop and reggaeton it's a product of the early '00s, and so their being trendy. Surely, the rare times that I watched the nowdays music television (are mostly disappeared.. the greatest isn't no more on free television) I spotted that today there's only reggaeton, (t)rap, and other modern things/modern ballads. In early '00s there was still a punch of commercial rock bands that made their hits, so, the publicized music was a little more diversified. However, It's demoralising discover a band that I consider "modern" and read that the videoclip is 14yrs old

it's the small things that help change the world do what you can stop wasting stop supporting the slaughter of factory farmed animals minimise how much you litter use public transportation instead of your car everyday stop supporting companies who harm wildlife, humans and the enviourment stuff like that and teach those arround you to follow in your footsteps it's the best we as humans can do (:
With Chester Bennington dead last week I've been listening to a lot of his music and the lyrics sound a lot darker to me. I think of the same thing with rise against, ready to fall and I don't wanna be hear anymore to name a few. I'm hoping Tim isn't in the same position as Chester was :(. I don't know, I just don't want to lose another good soul and talented musician. We've lost too many, I've ran out of fingers to count them on
I'm a veggie and I understand what people are arguing about down here but I understand that in the world things die/are killed, and to be honest I'm fine with that. It happened before human were around, it'll happen after we're gone and I don't care that it happens. I couldn't kill something myself because an animal has never done anything to harm me (humans are a different conversation all together.) I do have respect for real hunters though, and when I say real hunter I mean the guys who track, stalk and take every part of their kill home with them, not the "yeehaw, I'm gonna shoot me sum grub" kind. I point you towards Donnie Vincent as a man that truly earns my respect. He has a respect and love for the nature he hunts and hunts in, and he does it not for the sport but because it's his calling in life.
Moax Lycan When I was taught to hunt , i was told that if youi ever wasted a part of your kill you were horrible. Waste is a terrible thing and I to this day hate throwing any part of my meal out be it , salad or steak. Every life you take you should take knowing that you will not waste a bit of it , or you are no better than a murderer who kills for the hell of it. When I watch this video it seems to me that it is saying that as a species with a "high intelligence" we should know better than to "take" from the environment more than we "give" back. In other words, the more we abuse the environment for energy without giving back the energy such as killing animals that are not "farmed", than this species will be driven to extinction over the course of time. Also being said with abusing things such as deforestation without planting more than we take, than the environment will be driven towards "extinction", and by that I mean the atmosphere levels of Oxygen will fall due time. As the environment is depleted of oxygen overall, eventually our species will not have the proper oxidative environment for our cells to perform the necessary functions for life, which will lead to a massive extinction as the environment becomes "reduced" once again. The only way to maintain an equilibrium like environment is to give back to the environment at a necessary rate to sustain an oxidative enviornment for survival.
Holy shit, I saw this video 7 years ago and it has had such a huge impact on my life. Rise Against lead me to becoming vegan, an activist, straight edge. So much. I even have their logo tattooed on my forearm. I couldn't be more thankful for what they taught me.
