Hello everyone, with Kingdom Of The Planet Of The Apes releasing this week. I have decided that we are going to go through the Matt Reeves trilogy in the build to the movie, starting with the movie that kicked off the trilogy with Rise Of The Planet Of The Apes. We breakdown the movie go through the plot and story breaking it down retrospective style with all the spoilers and then we will go through each movie. Andy Serkis NEVER got the awards attention of all his impeccable work with motion-capture characters like Gollum, King Kong, and Caesar. I've always enjoyed this film, and although it doesn't have the same intensity of the next two films, I love the story and character development that sets the stage for everything else afterwards. 🙏🙏🙏

Yeah this movie was the perfect setup and set the tone Andy Serkin def needs to be recognized for his mo cap work especially in this trilogy thank you for watching man

I haven’t seen this movie in a long time but I always remember loving it and the bond with Franco and Cesar is absolute cinema at its best! Awesome breakdown man, definitely made me wanna rewatch this lol

Great review... This movie was awesome... I remember when it first came out... It was a totally different perspective from the prior Planet of the Apes movies... Instant Classic...

Great video! I just recently watched this trilogy for the first time last week; and I thought they were all great. While Rise is the clear weakest of the bunch, it’s still a perfect introduction to maybe one of the best fictional characters of all time.

I honestly think that rise is still a great movie just that 3rd act alone is so enjoyable but agree a perfect introduction to the character

This one was always a bit lacking in my opinion. The story was pretty good and the acting was also good but it didn't really get exciting until the last half hour or so. I'm not saying that these movies have to be all spectacle, hell the original is my favorite and there's not a ton of action in that one at all. but having said that I just found this one to be a little dull. And it's my least favorite of the new trilogy.

Yeah I can see a lot of people ranking this the weakest out of the 3 I put it as number 3 from the trilogy but did enjoy the rewatch
