I don’t think they assume it makes it better. I just think they want to expand their skills and open world is the next logical step from a studio that was typically a linear story game based studio. 🤷🤷🤷🤷
If you really look. I mean really pay attention to the grass. The grass is better than ghost of t. The buildings the wood grain the amount of detail in the bridges and buildings is more detailed than ghost of t. Ghost of t has bridges where the planks of wood are super low res. No detail. In slot of ways ronin is better. The amount of combat stances for katana. Way more than 4. Plus the quick draw stance is goat. No game has ever had quick draw katana stances. Where you swing and strike them holste the blade into the sheath Ronin is good. Ppl are trippin
PS5 finally got PS2 backward compatibility... or so it looks like. 70$ for a game which has worst graphics than God of War 2 ps2 game had. And is that horse riding copied from RDR 1 🙄?! Cant believe this game is made for PS5. Where u need PS5 pro console "all powerful" your ps3 can run these games and costs less.
They were trying to show how better at this they are than suckerpunch ghost of tsushima but ultimately tried to copy ghost menu screen and combat and did a poor job at it 😅
@@meditationridingwaves7559 the combat of ghost and the combat of Ronin are completely different.... dont know if you actually have both games, but they are completely different.... Ghost of T is way more grounded compared to Ronin... tho its a terrible game to me and looks pretty bad... nobody copied anybody.. Ghost of T is in its own lane.... and Ronin is more like an open world Wo Long which also sucked
TN need to upgrade their engine or get a new one altogether. The fact that GoT looks miles better and runs at steady 60 fps whereas this looks like dogshit by comparison and is poorly optimized speaks volumes. "bUt TN is aBoUt GaMplay nOt gRaP-" Cope harder fanboy. You're all about 'skill issues', right? Well, visual design and optimization is a skill that TN clearly lacks and should probably learn.
@@SentientPotatoXIIIIt's serious given what the asking price is. If this was some smol bean AA dev charging 30-40 bucks for their little experimental open world samurai it'd be fine, but this is a major publisher and developer. They should be embarrassed.
They should have left the open world genre alone 😅 messed up trying to copy ghost lol I mean literally the menu screen is copied after ghost and the combat with sword stances is ghost as well 😂
Plenty of games out there with good Gameplay and good graphics. God of War, Horizon, Resident Evil, Halo, Etc. So, there's no excuse to this outdated and just plain ugly Game
I found Ghost of Tsushima to be beautiful...at times. But various aspects such as water and rock formations, various textures and the way objects are 'rooted' in the environment don't look good at all. Never understood the enormous hype. Furthermore it's combat and story got boring very quickly and I lost interest after 15 hours.
That's why you should never had compared it to Ghost of tsushima because Rise of the ronin look cartoonish and combat system is also clunky but GOT has beautiful graphics great story beautiful world and awesome combat where you actually feels badass when you cut off their heads they fear you that was awesome every hit feels real
Bruh this looks like a bad like legit baaad ps3 game. The combat and gameplay is pretty legit and fluid for the most part, but holy sh!t it looks like trash. $60-70 is mf ridiculous. Us as gamers need to do something here. We getting robbed.
" We know we can't pull people in with the combat, let's get em with the graphics worry. Here's the thing though. Nioh players don't play these games for the graphics. 😂 This must be a video for the GOW transitional crowd
I was just hear to hear about the performance mode. If its stable and thinks like that and the only comment about is: its not as graphical impressive...really? So i will have to wait for DF i guess.
1. Several of GoT's cut scenes are pre-rendered, particularly the opening sequence. That's why the character models look insane in some of the cutscenes but the models during normal gameplay are much closer to what Team Ninja has. 2. RotR at least beats GoT in draw distances. GoT was smart in that it knew draw distances were an issue, so they made it so there isnt a lot of high vistas and made most of the island of Tsushima fairly flat so you can't see over miles. RotR has a lot more elevation change and has a lot better draw distances. 3. The camera work and use of intelligent motion blur makes GoT look far cinematic, which makes the graphics look better as well. The camer being closer to Jin makes all the detail pop more. 4. Tree density and color palette is more realistic in RotR. 5. World density in RotR is too cluttered while GoT spreading things out and creating large open fields actually cme off more realidtic and beautiful, but more things in the world are more graphically demanding. Overall, i think RotR and GoT are closer graphically than people think, GoT was just smarter with its presentation and better at hiding its flaws.
I am liking the game, it's not as good as Ghost of Tsushima but not many games are that good tbf, I think they should have made it a bit less open world Ubisoft style and maybe hubs with a more linear approach as I am getting bored of open world games.
Tired of this Ghost comaprison. This is Team Ninja not known for thier grahical prowess. While agree they need to change or update their engine these comparisons need to stop. Gameplay is king.
For $70 I want good graphics and good gameplay. You may be willing to pay more for less, but not me. Companies know people will pay for anything so they produce less and put a $70 price tag on it, and make more money while doing less work. This is why price gouging exist. The game should be $30-$40.
I see quite a bit of people trying this game out only because they were familiar with ghost of Tsushima all while not being familiar with team ninja games. Team ninja is mostly known for gameplay which rise of the ronin definitely delivers on.
@@shanjida8353 Honestly if Ghost of Tsushima didn't have samurai swords and Japanese voice acting, it would be hard to tell they were even trying to portray Japan. The game looks nothing like actual country, nor the era it was supposed to be set in. At least Rise of the Ronin looks like the setting it's trying to portray.
@@SentientPotatoXIIInot really, the game has gotten complaints mainly due to console wars and the fact it ain’t made by Fromsoft. Plus, everyone complained about Horizon Forbidden West and said the gameplay is boring and graphics don’t matter. Something ain’t adding up with what you said.
For $70 I want good graphics and good gameplay. You may be willing to pay more for less, but if I'm gonna pay $70, I better get both good graphics and good gameplay.
Rise of the ronin (PS4 gameplay with PS3 graphics sold at the price of a PS5 exclusive title 😅) wtf this is not worth $70 especially when it copies ghost of tsushima menu screen and combat 😅 and we not supposed to compare the 2 even after the developers said they was inspired by ghost 🙄
@@doodlydodo I disagree, a game isn't defined by it's graphics. Yes sure its graphics aren't absolutely perfect. But that game play is incredible, the story is engaging and the game looks very good. I see no issue with this game.
@@femalebringer5865 the game play looks fun. That’s it. Can’t use the artstyle argument because the art style is bland and boring… The game looks bad and I’m not speaking on gameplay and story.
@@cowel8734It's because big companies like IGN and Game spot said it and everyone feels like they need to agree. Also, what game is perfect before day 1 patch.
It's a great reference point for what a game like this could and should look like. It started development in 2015 and IMO it should look better visually after 9 years in development.
@@dr.loomis4221yeah but its a team ninja game tell me 1 team ninja game that look like got even dd2 doesn't look amazing at all ghost has better graphics than dd2 and ronin but i don't see ppl complaining about dd2 graphics
If only gameplay is good and not graphics, why pay $70? It should be less. They give out less so the price should be less. But I know you will pay $70 for anything which is why they work less and get paid more.
Idek why ppl say it looks ps3. It’s 4K 60 fps. Damn bro. 60fps didn’t exist on even ps4 in open world games. And the detail in ronin the actual graphic textures are solid.
