I'm one of those dumbasses who didn't give Rise of the TMNT a shot until recently. I am very pleasantly surprised at how much I've enjoyed it. The movie kicked ass too.

I actually don't think it was a Leo vs Raph rivalry, Raph is okay with not being the leader, he just wants his brother to take his new role seriously before anyone gets hurt, and Leo just thought Raph was complaining because he thought he didn't approve of how does things. I personally always thought the leader thing was so stupid like their fighting to rule over their two other siblings, so dumb. Rise definitely gets a w for tackling the leader thing in a way that actually makes sense, throughout the show and movie.

I like this version of the Leo/Raph conflict. Usually it's a result of Raph being annoying and wanting to be the leader, but here he's just being a good big brother, trying to lead Leo to the right path. In terms of likeability Rise!Raph has to be my favorite version, mostly because he's not a stubborn jerk with anger issues.

Back when Rise of TMNT was stil airing I always defended it but people never accepted but now with this movie and even from the series finale it finally got major fans. I'm glad to say this is probably my favorite TMNT series. I do hope we get a thirs season and a crossover with the previous series

If this movie becomes more popular I have two expectations for what to do next 1. Make a Turtles Forever 2 with all of the Turtles from all of the different shows (1987, 2003, 2012). 2. Make a 3rd season.

My little siblings, cousins and I love this movie! It's films like this that inspire me to draw and write my own stories as well as learn how animated cartoons are made. I can tell the folks behind the scenes enjoyed making this and I'm glad that their hard work finally paid off. I'd love to see how a third season would go from here, but if this is the end I'm glad that I had another version of the turtles that I enjoy and I can't wait for the next shows and movies in the future. 💙❤️💜🧡

i expected this movie to be good... i didnt expect it to be EPIC!!!!! it was so awesome. the animation was gold, the story was amazing, and over all the movie was a great addition to the TMNT series. PLEASE GIVE US A SEASON 4!!!!

I read somewhere that nick insisted the movie be as broadly accessible as possible, addressing as few plotlines from the series as possible. Which is why we got no draxum, only 1 mention of shredder and none of the Rogues gallery. They had to fight for Warren and Hypno insisting they'd just pass as villains without needing any explanation.

THIS MOVIE WAS AMAZING! The animation fantastic, The Krang in this turtle verse was by far the best variation yet. I loved they kept Cassandra as Casey’s Mother. I agree that roles were definitely reversed in the Leo and Raphael rivalry Raphael being the responsible one and Leon being the arrogant and only believing in himself and not considering the team.

I only discovered this show a few months ago and like most long term TMNT fans I was highly skeptical, but I'm very glad I gave it a chance. The movie is very much what I wanted more of in the show. The show is very rapid-fire, quick paced, and it's short episodes don't allow much time for emotional build up, but I love that the turtles feel young; they act like teenagers! There's so much room for growth and character development, and this movie shows that the writers are very capable of delivering when given the chance.

I flipping LOVE this film, have already watch it 3 times, the vibes the energy, the characters the story, THE ANIMATION....all top tier.....for me this is now rising high in my top 3 best TMNT films ever made (TMNT 90´s and Batman vs TMNT been in my top 3), the passion behind this film can be FELT in every frame, and the love for the franchise, I hope Rise of the TMNT get a follow up for this universe, but if not and this is it..............what a WAY TO END A SHOW, this was epic and make now ROTTMNT one of my all time favorites versions of the Turtles, I loved the show already and think was underrated, but this film have elevate the entire show, now for me is THIS, 2003 and 2012 the 3 absolute best TMNT stories ever made in other media besides the comics. This also rise no pun untended the bar veryyy high......the Seth Rogen TMNT Mutant Mayhem now absolutely need to be good, because fans will inevitable compared that with this film.

The visuals in this film were the best of any TMNT movie or show EVER! After watching this film, I immediately tried to incorporate more glowy powers and stylized expressions into my art

When I first saw Leo and krangitised Raph's fight in the movie it kind of reminded me of Leo and Raph's fight in the series finale of the 2012 series but with the roles reversed

If they don’t make a 3rd season, they should make a continuation of this series with the title TMNT after the events of the movie, as they have all RISEN to their roles already (Leo rising to leader). Same art style and everything and it can stream on Netflix

The music at the climax when Leo is trying to break free and inspire the others to break free too was really epic awesome Best part in the movie

Rise of the TMNT is my favorite movie and I desperately want more content with this version of the turtles I hope more people watch and talk about them :)

Thought it was awesome the show was good too but according to the people who worked on the show Nickelodeon was meddling with the production they had all kinds of stories lined up but nick said nope we want 11 minutes episodes pfffff Corporations.

I'm 42 and I've been a lifelong TMNT fan. I will admit that when Rise debuted I didn't give it a fair shake, I figured it just wasn't for me and never watched an episode. But a few weeks ago I decided to give the series a shot and I absolutely ate it up! I love this show! And I thought the movie was great! I would love to see more, I'd love a second season.

I would love if the series kept going, as it has so much un-tapped potential, and I love the way Netflix handled the movie. It deserves to be watched by all Turtles fans, who have brushed it away after never watching the show at all, just assuming it is garbage, because of all of the hate it gets for daring to be different, and (in my opinion) more interesting.

I watched it with low expectations given some of my knowledge of the Rise of TMNT and then... This movie DESTROYS it, one of the greatest things I've ever watched and I'm glad I watched it before my summer vacation ends

Great movie. A good balance of action, heart, and humor. I love anime and this version of TMNT borrows alot from shows like Naruto. There was a scene where Splinter was even running like Naruto 😄 I agree that the sister krang seems to be taken away by Agent Bishop and the Earth Protection Force. If they decide to produce another season, I would like to see him be the main protagonist.

bro at 9:49 when they're all finally saying the "teenage mutant ninja turtles" line, RIGHT before Leo said "turtles" i got an ad for those trolli candies, and the first word in the add was a lil candy yelling "Trolli" so all i heard was really intense battle sounds of them yelling it followed by happy go lucky candy ad it was just "THE TEENAGE MUTANT NINJA Trolli :DDD" i was both very pissed and very amused at the same time, it was great

i like the fact that they had some original comic book poses in this movie, the one that caught my eye was the casey jones pose. - 14:31

This movie was amazing and so was the animation. Really glad it seems to be getting a lot of hype and possibly will give us the rest of s2.

I'd say the shell with other people's backlash! Sure, it's not the same Turtles from the 80s. It's 2022 for crying out loud! Rise of the TMNT should keep going... no matter what. A group of Turtles who are a different species fighting together to stop any foe that gets in their way is a symbol of working together as a team. Season 3 is gonna happen. It SHOULD happen. I want the Turtles to wear the Hamato Ninpo outfits with all long bandanas just like in the season 2 finale. That's my personal request. I may not be a huge Rise of the TMNT fan but I'll admit the movie was actually pretty good. It did had some small flaws but I still enjoy it.

I like the movie a lot with the plot, colors, and character style change in Leonardo! I want to know if it is worth watching the Rise series now?

In most versions I've seen, Raph is just unnecessarily hostile with his family and it has always bothered me. Seeing Big Raph being the older brother with experience to share as best as he can is infinitely better for me. The saddest exclusion from the show's cast that I've noticed is Training Dummy, a misshapen origami ninja and Raph's favorite sparring partner. Seasons 3, 4, and possibly 5 deserve to happen. Call it "Rebound of the TMNT", show me the restoration of the city after the Kraang battle! Triceratons next please!

Easily my 2nd favorite TMNT movie! (After 1990 of course)

I was crying from Mickey and gang crying on Leo’s Sacrifice but he never gives on him, but he open the portal like doctor to save him. Like doctor strange magic.

Beginning felt like Xmen Days of Futures Past with greater stakes tbh. Immediately Casey's reality is obliterated but he's back in the past. I put the movie on cause i needed something for my dog to watch while i cleaned up in the house and she loves colorful cartoons like this. Did not clean that day. This movie reignited my love for these characters and the series as a whole, definitely check it out if you've not yet.

I’m wondering if it’s possible if they made a continuation of the show that takes place after the events of the movie…like here r a few examples of what I wanna see if they do something like that *I wanna see The ROTTMNT version of the Triceratons since we got a glimpse of a skull of one in the movie inside the Krang ship *Casey Jones interacting with his mother in the present time before she was married and had Casey Jones in the future *The Turtles going through time like the TMNT Fast Forward series where they ended up in the future who met Casey and April’s son *The Turtles meeting Bishop who maybe either they’re ally or enemy since he was either of those in the 2007 show and the 2012 show *The ROTTMNT versions of Bebop and Rocksteady *The ROTTMNT version of Mona Lisa who was also a love interest for Raphael in the comics and made 2 appearances in the classic 60s cartoon and the 2012 show where she’s an alien Salamndrian

Rise was a good second tmnt animated film.

If I had to guess as to why Draxum and Big mama aren't in the movie, I would assume it's because they are characters exclusive to Rise, so people who skipped the show wouldn't know who they are Stuff like Cassey Jones, the foot clan, Shredder who is also mentioned and the Krang are stuff TMNT fans know from pretty much all of their iterations, therefore can make a connection between the new version and the old ones regardless of the changes And while to be fair, Hipno and Warren are also exclusive to the show yet appear in the movie, their role in the movie is just stealing the key for the foot clan and in the show itself they pretty much were villains that appeared in some episodes, so the audience doesn't really need to know anything about them other than "they are bad guys, they stealing the key" Draxum and Big Mama on the other hand were more prominent figures in the show and carried way more importance for the overall plot of the entire thing

I loved the movie it had good action, emotional moments, characters self doubt and basically everything a good movie needs in my opinion

The Rise of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie was just pure perfection, Nickelodeon and the team have really done this version of the turtles justice! Leo’s character arc in the movie was well thought out and amazing, seeing him take the leader role more seriously really gave me 2003/2012 Leo vibes but some how more compelling! His dynamic with Raph was also great in this, rather than doing the whole Leo/Raph rivalry thing that the others did in the past it is more heart felt and profound and it was emotional. Overall this was a great addition to the Rise universe and hope that this could potentially spark a chance for a revival or even a spin-off series?! If not this was a great ride and I’m glad to watch it, thank you ROTTMNT! (2018-2022)

I'm a 42 year old man. I grew up with the OG TMNT and love the shit out of this movie.

Not gonna lie, I really liked the movie. Honestly I wanna know who Casey's dad is and how he became friends with the turtles in that future.

I hated the series and never finished watching it, which means that I was unaware until now that Splinter had assigned Leo as the leader in the finale (finally!), but I figured I would watch the movie anyway because, what the heck, why not? I have Netflix and I don't want to waste my subscription, and honestly, the trailers actually looked pretty good. I was NOT disappointed. Just hearing Leo say 'badass' made the whole thing worth it for me. That's one of my favorite swear words,...and he actually said it... * sniff! * 😭 I'm so proud of him! The animation was top notch, the story was actually good for once in this series and it had the most terrifying version of Krang that I think we have ever seen so far. I liked how his throne was built into a Triceraton skull...how big were those guys in this universe anyway? They must have been enormous! If that was only the head than I tremble at the thought of seeing the whole creature! It was cool to finally see Casey appear too and I liked how his outfit was a reference to his classic 1987 series counterpart with the same blue top and gray pants, heck, even the same bright green sneakers and the hockey mask was pretty cool too, but I especially liked the hockey stick with built in chainsaw. Now that's, dare I say, badass (there you go! 😉). It might be a bad idea for Casey to meet his mom to early though, paradox yo! In fact I was surprised that he didn't instantly blip out of existence the moment that the timeline was changed after Raph got captured and then they stopped the Krang so how exactly is Casey still there? Anyway, the movie was surprisingly good and I would definitely watch it again and recommend it to any hard shell TMNT fan (see what I did there? 😉). If this is any indication of what Mutant Mayhem is going to be like then I think we're in for a real treat in 2023. Now, if you'll excuse me, I'm SOOO going to break that pizza box record! 🍕

Actually I did like this this movie a lot I had a lot of fun with it and had rewatched a lot of the fight scenes, the animation is smooth and beautifuly done they really popped off with the battles and didn't hold back with the emotional points of their emotions at first I wasn't sure of the personalities because it was so different but from time to time I realized compared the watching the old show on Netflix I noticed how much of a less personality they had and now watching the new version they have more of a personality and that was really amazing Donnie felt new and different but unique and he might've felt a little emotionalies but he really wasn't, hes perfect and Mikey I have no problems with him either they're both good characters and I find their inactions one of the best I like how they displayed Leo's jokes from the old show but still over confident and young reminded me of the new sonic movie 2 but even though he was goofy Leo still had his painful moments he still loves his family and watching them get hurt really made him change ral I wasn't too sure about his personality at first but again on he has been displayed really well in the show but still having that rivalry with his brother Leo which is pretty nice but his Honorable sacrifice to save Leo instead really hit hard and it changed his family in a way I love April's changes she wasn't just that side character being tooken by the crane nope shes completely different and instead her friendship with Donnie Is really nice as well for their changes splinter wasn't actually that bad he was a little lazy in the show and didn't do much of actual sparring to display their lessons but instead using wise words like in the other shows teaching a lesson by word overall I find this movie impressive and I will say that the creators ACTUALLY tried to make it a good and pleasant movie they did a good job and I like this display they didn't refuse to show some scenes you'd think they wouldn't show but it proved us wrong I honestly was surprised near the end when he brings the leader of the crane back into their dimension demanding cacey to close the patrol behind them that's when it got more crazy then before to think Leo was going to die but Im amazed how they did Mikey's grief to get him back and when in he was trying to open a portal to save Leo like he did in the start of the movie I like how they redid this again showing with the help of his brothers he succeeded I really do like the ending as well where they were looking back on the sunset stating he was gonna best that record overall the ending was nice and ended up happily so my answer I liked this movie and this is my opinion so that's all.

We need a TurtlesForever2 the interactions would be INSANE!!! If Rise had the the same tone from the get go as this movie than i'm certain me and many others would have taken a much more positive liking to this take as you said it did more harm than good by being so episodic and taking that overtly cartoonish tone like TTG and ThunderCats Roar. I passed on Rise but you can defo watch this without prior knowledgde the emotional beats still hit hard so i appreciate the move for that one of the highlights of this take is the releationship between the brothers. Animation alone does not make or carry a show but i was shocked by how good it was and the ammount of violenece by no means was it too much but going in from what i've seen of the show was a nice surprise, as it added weight and maturity two things i've been wanting from rise so they listend to my complaints XD. The Rise Kraang go HARD disgustingly overpowered too the point that they made the Turtles look WEAK AF and the way they nerfed them was siiiiick was thinking they'd have to adapt to their tradditional ways or have the cliche "power inside all along thing" which works but too predictable. The Rise Kraang are a solid version still love 2012s robotic hive mined type Kraang i hope we see them again in series S3 or 4 if it happens overall a good movie so a 6-7/10. I liked this Casey but feel like he was underused/underdeveloped we should have seen more of the future timeline to contrast with the past, also April and Splinter took a backseat imo and feel like they should have elaborated on the Kraang but maybe they did that in the show also why did Netflix not add the series to would have made more sense and hightened the experience.

The 3 Krangs r a bit like previous Krangs. The leader is like the 2003 Shredder aka Ch'rell. The 2nd in command is like Kraang Subprime from the 2012 series. The smaller 1 is like the 87/OG Krang .

Bro I just watch that movie and it was a emotional roller coaster and I LOVE IT!!✨

My favorite part at the beginning was seeing Casey Jones, chainsaw hockey puck! Awesome addition to his character.

I thought this movie was pretty good. I loved the animation and it also almost made me cry 😭 when Leo (who is my favorite turtle) getting stuck in the kraangs prison dimension. Over all, I thought it was pretty good.

Someone said the reason characters like Big Mama and Baron Draxum weren't in this movie is because the director wanted to make it as accessible to newcomers as possible. Apparently, people had to push hard for Warren Stone and the hippo to even be included, arguing that fans don't need to know much about them other than that they're villains.

I never actually realized that this show was hated by people. I’m happy that this is now loved :D

From being hated due to the changes to delivering the first non-crossover TMNT film fans generally agree to be geniunely great since 1990. ROTTMNT sure went a long way.

I feel like those Mystic Warriors who locked the Kraang in a prison dimension have something to do with the mystic weapons the Turtle discover in the first episode. Maybe they channeled their powers inside those weapons, and decided to pass them onto the Yokai’s ancestors to protect the world from evil.

This Ninja turtles movie was a 10/10 it's was emotional hardcore and sad

The rise turtles aren't my turtles but I think they're messing up severely by taking them away from fans. Give loyal fans what they want.

We NEED a Season 3. Lots of questions got unanswered after the movie. Give the Rise Of The TMNT show and the movie a chance on Netflix. Supposedly if it gets it’s numbers up in ratings before September 1st we MIGHT get a Season 3. Help spread the show on social media!

The Raph Leo rivalry thing doesn't really make sense to me in this case. At this point it looks like Leo has zero reason to be leader. Raphael from what I saw is shown to be a great leader in this version. Leo is a screw up, who doesn't show any good leadership qualities. I need a reason besides Splinter said so for him to be leader. Seems like people probably complained and they caved. I haven't seen all or Rise though to be fair. Some, but not the whole thing.

The movie was very well done, and yes I did eat pizza while watching it because why not, ain't nothing wrong being a TMNT fan
