Thanks man, that was utterly frustrating to get through. And Square Enix, frak you for a counter-intuitive puzzle that just made me wanna quit the game all together; damn sados...
Worst puzzle in the game. I was stuck for hours on this one. I usually look up the solutions on RU-vid after an hour. It is too frustrating after that.
I feel ya man i solved it on my own with no help and it was hard to not look it up the urge for me was strong as well. Took me around a hour to solve.Once i found out how it worked i was realy glad but also a bit dissapointed. It just doesnt make sense that u can lock the plattforms by shooting a rope from the little three stump next to the big mechanic wheel thing. Kinda feels weird why couldnt they just be locked with the mechanic wheel why only with the little wooden stump next to it. Its super counter intuitive so i cant blame myself or anyone else for struggling with it. At first when i didnt realise it could be locked I actualy thought i had to do it very fast before the plattforms changed positions. Tried that so many times only to fucking realise u could lock them (which again is super counter intuitive)
lone wanderer Yes, VERY counter-intuitive. Usually with puzzles, you say "oh, that's clever". This one was just annoying and didn't have a logic to it. Attaching two different ropes and assuming we will know that one will "lock" and then changing the platforms twice...ugh....just not very well done.
@@dutchguyfull123so the thing with these kind of games is, they are too linear and devs sometimes expect from people to unimmerse themselves from the game to solve the puzzle or I guess they assume that people don’t immerse themselves into the environment. A regular person that’s immersed into the game would find it had to solve the puzzles, but if when you realise that it’s a puzzle game not a journey like RDR2, you know that every interact-able object is compulsorily a part of the puzzle without which it cannot be solved. Kudos to the devs for not making the puzzles too easy and too obvious with the talking Lara all the time. But they should have made the puzzles harder intuitively that wouldn’t break the immersion by making players realise that they are playing a game or a puzzle. I play story based cinematic games and in my perspective, games are only as good as their immersion, because frankly, all the AAA games that were a hit were extremely good with the immersion.
This is probably the hardest one in the game. This puzzle itself is easy to solve, but it is super hard to be quick enough to jump to the other side in time...
So you climb that wooden thing. And then spring (shift +w) then only u can start climbing up. And if u have automatic machine to climb up then press E.
this is driving me crazy figured out what I have to do and was proud of myself but cant make that timed run across... always just miss a fraction of a second! grrrrrrrrrrrrr EDIT: I have finally made it across and the damn game bugged out on the lever that brings the house lift!! I hate this dlc 😡😡😡😡
oh yeah I remember I passed it many time since... you just really have to cut the corner on that last jump at 2:03, really jump diagonally and turn in the air, it's just practice :)
@@PeriOriginal21 oh I'm sorry it was so long ago I didn't read what my original comment was. I did the update. there was an update for final patch of the game I didn't have which solved it.
I can’t get the timing down for that last little sprint before the platform falls. Then it’s starting all over essentially. Ugh! If it would “lock” or even add just like 2 more seconds. That jump to that last climbing section I’be missed a dozen times or more!
*sigh* I pulled the lever at the end of the puzzle and that is were I thought I had missed something as nothing happpened... xT nice to know I'll have to do it all over again.
this most infuriating puzzle i’ve ever encountered suck all the fun out of game i regret doing side mission before finishing games do u have any tips to make last jump in time? i am frankly stuck
The timing in this puzzle is key, & it's bad if you can't do the timing part in the game. Thank you for the walk though, I just gotta take a break from it. I deliberately told my hubby no more games with timing mission's! 😂
when you jump on the rope.... face the direction u wanna head to. In this case, face right . as soon as she catches the rope , press up key. she will start climbing instead of sliding. Cheers!
U know a puzzle terrible when i didnt even have to type the name & it popped up. It dont help Lara dont stfu or says something completely opposite to what u have to do it quickly gets annoying.

FFS i love puzzle, but I wouldnt have ever gotten this!!!! smh.... I got everything but I didnt know I had to shoot the arrow to stop the boards (1:28)....thanks....i hate looking shit up
