This boss is actually one of the best, you have to hit him with MP5 ande he will flee way sooner, he counters missile style weapons. I missed that in the 2013 remake. That counter is what made him special
You can't kill him here. Firing at him only makes him stronger in this level. He will change to another form (the Snake Form) at the end of this level and you will face him again in another level.

Of course he can fly and will come after you, firing several forms of deadly magic at you so you need to protect yourself from being vaporised by dodging his attacks and using fireproof armor. He will eventually give up, change into the snake form and flee into the next level. You will face him in the level In The Dark Nest in a vicious battle.
